Study On Quality Control Strategy Of Clinical Research Papers In Chinese Medical Journals

After decades of rapid economic development,China has begun to expand its national development strategy,focusing on health service.The release of the"healthy China 2030 plan outline"marks a new stage of hygiene and health reform and development in China,and also puts forward new requirements for the development and innovation of clinical medicine in China.However,China is still in the"importing country"position of clinical medical research evidence,copying European and American guidelines and referring to European and American population data.The lack of Chinese population research data is still a big shortboard.As the primary carrier of recording and disseminating scientific and technological information on Chinese medical clinical research,Chinese medical journals are responsible for providing evidence for all kinds of medical and health decisions.Many reports show the quality and academic influence of clinical research papers published by medical journals in mainland China is still at a low level as a whole.Why has the quality of clinical research papers published in Chinese medical journals not been highly evaluated and widely recognized?Based on the previous research,this study added evaluation indexes,reviewed the quality of clinical research papers published by medical journals in mainland China through snowball sampling,in order to comprehensively and objectively evaluate the overall quality of Chinese clinical research papers.Find out and confirm the influential factors of the quality of clinical research papers in China;focus on the editorial department of medical journals,and discuss the overall quality control strategies of clinical research papers in China.First,starting from the description of the concept of the paper quality and its influencing factors,reviewing the literature,combining expert interviews,analyzing the relationship between"quality of clinical research papers"and"influencing factors,"and further defining"quality of clinical research papers"and"quality"The concepts of"evaluation"and"quality influencing factors"enrich their connotations.Clinical research papers published in Chinese medical journals in recent years were selected by snowball sampling for evaluation and data analysis.Data were included in the study registry,ethical review,and prospective study patients'informed consent to evaluate their ethics;the number of papers in the same kind of research before the paper was published in an extensive database was counted to evaluate its innovation.To evaluate the quality of the reports by comparing them with the international medical report guidelines;to evaluate the methodological quality through the risk of bias.Statistical analysis of the evidence strength.According to the database,Mainland China has published a large number of clinical research papers which are single center(97.38%),small sample(Single group?100 cases,77.3%),pure positive results(99.22%),high repeatability(similar studies>10,37.11%),low quality(low inventory reporting rate and high risk of bias).The rate of research registration and ethical review is low.The innovation focuses on treatment research.Thirdly,Combining literature research,expert interviews,field surveys.Recruitment and screening of influential factors of clinical research papers in Chinese medical journals by literature research,expert interviews,field surveys.Design questionnaire,a questionnaire survey of authors and editors of 229 papers.A theoretical model of factors affecting the quality of clinical research papers was constructed by the Structural Equation Model(SEM).The model shows(1)the professional level(education,title)has a weak direct impact on the quality of the dissertation,and the author's scientific thinking,scientific research methodology,and strong positive impact on the quality of the dissertation.(2)scientific research policies and organizational supervision have a positive impact on the quality of the dissertation;scientific research resources can directly affect the quality of the dissertation,and indirectly affect the quality of the dissertation by acting on scientific research policies and organizational supervision.(3)the professional competence of editors,the level of journal management,and the level of reviewers have a positive impact on the quality of the paper;the standardization of the format hurts the quality of the paper.Finally,the factorial design was used to confirm the impact of the above possible factors on the quality of clinical research papers.The results show that,among the twenty-three possible influencing factors related to the author and the research institution,only the ethical was related to the overall quality of the paper(?~2=11.075,P=0.010).Among the eighteen possible factors related to editing in the editorial department,there are four factors significantly related to the quality of the paper,such as whether the editor has a medical professional background(?~2=21.533,P=0.000),the statistical level of editors(t=2.221,P=0.028),the work time for layout consumption of editors(t=-3.064,P=0.002)and is a core journal(?~2=4.714,P=0.034).The research proves that the journal editorial department and editor-related factors are the main factors influencing the quality of clinical research papers in China.Based on the results of this study,in order to improve the quality of the clinical research papers in domestic,we suggested medical editors must have a medical-related professional background,manning a sufficient number of medical editors and perform their duties.We need science editor but not copy editor.We should strictly implement a clinical research registration system;check the research of ethical review;step up the propaganda of the clinical research to standardization;indicate the conflicts of interest,and allow issued negative results.Medical editors should do an excellent job of author education while the paper is returned,and provide reviewers with specific review standards and related knowledge.
