In the development of industrial and agricultural production and infrastructure, the destruction of nature left two major problems for human survival: environmental pollution and soil erosion.According to the Status of the World's Soil Resources report(SWSR,2015),most of the world's land resources are only general, poor or poor. The future global soil as a whole is facing 10 major threats. The main causes of soil threats are population growth, urbanization and climate change, and these factors are expected to continue to exist in the next few decades.therefore, the ten " soil threats" will be the focus and important research content of the global soil and water conservation researchers, governments generally pay attention to and pay attention to.This paper applies the theories and methods of information metrology, competitive information science and information management, and makes a statistical analysis of the soil and water conservation literatures collected from 2006 to 2015 by using four citation databases of web of science(WOS).Text mining technology was used to analyzes the basic structure of the retrieved documents, and compares the research level of the United States,Italy,Spain,Britain,Germany,France,Australia,Canada,Japan and China from the aspects of paper output, paper publishing time distribution, research institutions, researchers,Funding agencies, highly cited papers, research related disciplines, etc.Based on the statistics and analysis of 15 countries with more than 100 papers, the current situation and trend of the global and China related research,as well as the main research areas, key points and hot research contents of the global soil and water conservation research in the past 10 years are understood.Based on Bradford's law of literature dispersion and concentration, this paper studies the core periodical of soil and water conservation, and then studies the JCR division of published journals,in order to help researchers correctly select published journals, improve the hit rate of published papers, and improve the impact of papers.Taking papers and citations published in recent 10 years as scientific indicators, the quality of papers is evaluated and the influence of papers is analyzed.Based on CiteSpace knowledge map,the citation network of soil and water conservation in recent 10 years was studied and analyzed. The results show that from 2006 to 2015,there are 4872 papers issued by 128 countries around the world.Of the 25 research institutions with the largest number of papers,16 are from the United States, and the types of research institutions in the United States are diverse.China has six research institutions, namely the Chinese academy of sciences,Beijing normal university,Lanzhou university,China agricultural university,China academy of sciences,Northwest Agricultural and Forestry university. The United States,China and the UK researchers respectively contributed 4 articles of the 25 highly cited papers worldwide, but two of the four published by American researchers accounted for the first and third of the top three, showing the strong influence of American research papers. The article(2007),which was studied and published by duke university Reynolds,James F.,and a dozen national scientists has been cited as the highest citation rate of 630 times, with an average citation of 57.27 per year.Journal analysis of soil and water conservation disciplines shows:JOURNAL OF SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION has the highest volume of 921 papers.LAND DEGRADATION DEVELOPMENT has the highest impact factor, reaching 9.87.Papers published on JOURNAL OF SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION are mostly cited with a total citations number of 6,693,and on JOURNAL OF ARID ENVIRONMENTS get a highest average citation number-27.24.China's total number of Journals is 503,ranking first, and the United States ranks second with 251.The global soil and water conservation research covers 142 disciplines, with China and the United States ranking the top two in 98 and 78 respectively.According to the research on the Category Normalized Citation Impact, the uk has the highest CNCI value of 1.75 and China has the second lowest among the 10 countries analyzed at the national level.Ku leuuvan was the most influential research institution(2.55),and the average CNCI of 16 research institutions was close to 1.4.Compared with foreign research institutions, the Category Normalized Citation Impact of the whole Chinese research institutions is not high.Among the researchers, the Category Normalized Citation Impact was more than 30 times higher than that of the lowest one,and the average CNCI of 15 researchers was more than 1.5.Among the foreign researchers,Govers,Gerard's CNCI was the highest(4.34).Among the domestic researchers,Shi,z.h.(2.04)of Huazhong agricultural university was the highest.According to the core periodical table of soil and water conservation,24 core periodicals were distributed in 45 sub-categories of JCR sub-division(equal to sub-division of Chinese academy of sciences).Through the analysis of the research papers in the field of soil and water conservation, combined with the research papers keywords frequency research shows that environmental science and ecology, agriculture, water resources, geology, engineering and physical geography are the six main research areas of the global soil and water conservation discipline.Global climate change, human activities, desertification and correlation research, soil erosion modeling, environmental and ecological impact assessment caused by soil erosion is a hot topic of soil and water conservation research in recent ten years.A new integrated framework, including conceptual and practical templates,to help manage the complexities inherent in desertification and dryland development, the dryland development paradigm(DDP),is emerging.Compared with the characteristics of agriculture, plant science and soil organic carbon research abroad, the active point of soil and water conservation research in China is on the Loess Plateau, focusing on global climate change, human activities, desertification and interrelationship. The research and practice of DDP has not been carried out yet.It is necessary to carry out further research on the effects of the three northern shelterbelts to reach a consensus. The key success factors of benchmarking America in this field are research direction, subject layout, international cooperation and so on.The main advantages of soil and water conservation discipline research in China are high paper output, involving many disciplines, many projects and so on;The disadvantage is the low influence of the paper, less foreign cooperation, the subject layout is not reasonable, the Impact Factors of the paper journals are low. Finally, the countermeasures and suggestions of soil erosion control and soil and water conservation in China are put forward in order to provide valuable reference for the relevant departments to formulate development strategies and make daily decisions. In this study,Bradford's " law of literature concentration and dispersion" was applied to study the journal of soil and water conservation discipline for the first time, the core periodicals of soil and water conservation discipline was selected. And the JCR division of periodicals was studied. The order of top 15 countries was firstly determined by the number of articals and their citations, the average citations as well as h-index in the field of soil and water conservation using synthetically normalized values from indicator-weighted in bibliometries. For the first time, the Category Normalized Citation Impact and the Category Normalized Citation Impact of periodicals were studied. For the first time, citespace software was used to study the knowledge map of soil and water conservation,to study the citation relationships of countries, institutions and researchers in the field of global soil and water conservation, and to provide the basis for cooperative research on different levels of global soil and water conservation. The competitive informatics theory and method are applied to the international comparison of soil and water conservation discipline. The competitive intelligence method using advantage and disadvantage analysis is innovative in the similar research.
