The species of Trichogrammatidae(Hymenoptera:Chalcidoidea),as egg-parasitic natural enemies, are one of the most widely used group in biological control. The systematic classification of Trichogrammatidae in China is still insufficient. The early researchers mainly concentrated in the southeastern region of China and Xinjiang Province.China has a vast territory, across Palearctic and Oriental geographical regions, and a wide variety of insects. There are a large number of unknown species waiting to be discovered and determined.Understanding the species and geographical distribution of Trichogrammatidae in China has a great significance for biological control and application of natural enemy insects. The identification and classification of the present study were based upon more than 500 slide specimens made from over 5000 trichogrammatids which collect by sweeping, yellow pan trapping, host rearing, malaise trapping or suction trap, together with the specimens at the insect collections of Northeast Forestry University. The thesis include five chapters. In the first chapter, situation of taxonomic study on Trichogrammatidae was overviewed; In the second chapter, materials and methods were introduced, including methods of specimens collection, mounting and preservation, drawing, photographing and measurement;and also general morphology of the family and classification system were introduced. In the third chapter,54 species of 22 genera of Trichogrammatidae from China were described, including 10 new species:Eteroligosita dianensis sp.nov.,Hayatia acuticauda sp.nov.,Pseudoligosita processa sp.nov.,Pseudoligosita qiluensis sp.nov.,Oligosita xinyangensis sp.nov.,Lathromeroidea latiscapa sp.nov.,Pseuduscana sinensis sp.nov.,Paracentrobia longicilia sp.nov.,Haeckeliania clavata sp.nov.,Zagella tibetanasp.nov.;and 5 new record species from China:Pseudoligosita tachikawai(Yashiro),Lathromeris koreanica Hu,Lin et Kim,Paracentrobia neoflava Yousuf et Shafee,Paracentrobia masovica(Nowicki)and Poropoea elegans Fursov, newly discovered males of Oligosita nigroflagellaris Lin and Paracentrobia neoflava Yousuf et Shafee, newly discovered females of Lathromeris koreanica Hu,Lin et Kim;newly distributed genera in Palearctic:Pseuduscana Pinto,2006 and Pterygogramma Perkins,1906;A Key to all the genera included in this study and keys to species of several large gernera, detailed morphological characteristics and photographs for all the species, together with complete citations, host and distributional data, and Chinese name for several species were also provided. The fourth chapter conducts a preliminary study on the distribution of the geographical fauna of Trichogrammatidae in China. The chapter five is conclusions and discussions. This study aims at providing some basic references for biological control on pests in agriculture and forestry of China, and enriching natural enemy resources and biodiversity. All the type specimens were deposited at insect collections of Northeast Forestry University(NEFU),Harbin,China.
