This thesis aims at the construction of carbon-carbon bonds, especially those with high steric hindrance, based on nickel-catalyzed reductive coupling and its application to the synthesis of several dimeric diketopiperazine alkaloids. It consists of the following four chapters.Chapter 1: Summarizes the latest developments in visible-light-promoted bimetallic catalysis in the past decade, mainly focusing on the breakthroughs and theories under a combination of Ir and Ni.Chapter 2: The main content is nickel-catalyzed reductive coupling reaction between tertiary chloroalkanes and iodo-tryptophan to construct the crowded all-carbon chiral center. This method was successfully applied to the total synthesis of several C3a-C7'dimeric diketopiperazine alkaloids.Chapter 3: The main content is the double Ir/Ni catalytic reaction promoted by visible light for the reduction coupling of tertiary chlorinated hydrocarbons and aryl halides to construct carboncarbon bonds. This method was applied to the total synthesis of several C3a-C5'(C6')dimeric diketopiperazine alkaloids.Chapter4: The main content is about the reaction of tertiary halogenated hydrocarbons catalyzed by nickel for the construction of Csp3-Csp3 bond. This method was applied to total synthesis of C3-C3'dimeric alkaloids(-)-folicanthine and(-)-ditryptophenaline.
