Construction noise is one of major factors of environmental pollution and disturbance in the construction process.Construction noise management is a complicated system that involves multidisciplinary knowledge and project-related information, ranging from the identification of potential sound sources, noise prediction, noise assessment, noise reduction program decision-making to implementation and monitoring, which requires the adaptation of appropriate methods and tools. However, due to the lack of pertinence of current management practices when adopting norms and regulations,it is far from meeting the requirements for noise management in construction. This study employs ontology modeling to integrate knowledge system, introduces noise health risk assessment methodology to deepen and improve the noise management in order to construct convenient and practical noise management tools, and provides intelligence decision supports and solutions for projects to establish scientific and reasonable noise management countermeasures.Based on the investigation of status quo and demand analysis of construction noise management, the paper analyzed and identified the scope of construction noise management and proposed the conceptual framework for noise management by virtue of in-depth analysis of the four aspects, including domain composition, management object, management path and management objectives. On this basis of the ontology modeling of existing knowledge accumulation, the knowledge concept of construction noise management and its relationships as well as axioms are established, and also the knowledge of building construction noise management is characterized and integrated, providing a formally semantic framework for the relevant knowledge and data storage and reuse. In the construction noise related health risk estimation model, human health damage is characterized as the construction noise environment impact, and the disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)are regarded as the indicators.Meanwhile, relevant epidemiological researches was applied, extending causal chain of existing construction noise impact assessment methods.Furthermore, index meaning of DALYs and a variety of environmental evaluation theories are considered in the paper, from the perspective of quantity and quality of life, and a monetization weighted method of health risks is introduced, helping to take environmental impact assessment into the solution of multi-objective decision.Based on the method statement of construction, this paper involved the methods of the cost-benefit analysis,multi-criterion analysis and cost-effectiveness analysis, and then established the processes and also criterions to support the planning of construction noise control.Accordingly,a decision aiding model integrating the decision-making frame and environmental assessment model is proposed on the ontology model of construction noise control. After that,a case application is provided for demonstrating the viability and effectiveness of the decision aiding model. As a fundamental research related to green construction, this paper introduced a new perspective and method for managing construction noise by the intelligent method. As a result, the knowledge among building construction, noise control and health risk assessment was integrated into a model, making construction noise control an easier and more efficient process.More importantly, this model can be further developd into a systematic tool that is fully able to support green construction and then improve the project management efficiency.
