Transfer matrix method for multibody systems(MSTMM)is a new method of multibody system dynamics proposed and continuously improved in the past twenty years.It has been widely used in scientific research and dynamic performance design and experimental design of various complex mechanical systems because it has the advantages that it avoids the global dynamics equation of the system,keeps a high computational speed and is highly stylized programming.As an important part of the research achievements of the national defense 973 project,a service-oriented MSTMM dynamics softeware is designed and developed in this paper.The visualized dynamics software frees engineers and mechanics from decomposing complicated and complicated dynamic equations,and provides a technical support and visual digital platform for the modeling,computation,and design of complex multibody system dynamics.The main innovations of the paper are as follows:(1)The Riccati transfer matrix method for linear multibody system is improved,and the recursive relationship of Riccati transfer matrix of tree multibody systems is deduced.On this basis,the recursive relations of Riccati transfer matrix of the multibody system with closed-loops in arbitrary topology is deduced.Therefore,the Riccati transfer matrix method suitable for linear multibody systems with arbitrary topological structure is established.It overcomes the spatial transfer difficulties caused by matrix multiplication which results in overlarge matrix elements and improves the numerical stability of MSTMM;(2)A parallel algorithm for recursively searching the eigenvalue based on MPI distributed parallel computing theory is proposed in this paper,which greatly improves the computational speed of the eigenvalues in the context of MSTMM.It improves the computational efficiency,and shortens the dynamics optimization time of typical weapon system.(3)A service component architecture of MSTMM dynamics software has been established.Combining a number of open source software technologies,the establishment of three-dimensional geometric models and mesh models and data exchange with other CAD systems have been realized.And the functions such as the establishment of dynamics models,automatic generation of parameters required for computation,visualization of modeling and simulation process,etc.have been realized.(4)The key technologies of transforming the dynamics model of a multibody system into a mathematical model based on MSTMM in the context of MSTMM solver is establised.The automatic selection of the closed-loop hinge in the multibody system with closed-loops,automatic generation of the derived tree system,automatic regularly numbering of dynamics elements and automatic generation of dynamics topology figure have been realized.(5)The dynamics software of MSTMM established in this paper is applied to the weapon systems including a multiple launch rocket system(MLRS)and a tank for dynamics modeling and simulation research.The dynamics computational results of the MLRS and the tank system are obtained.The results show that the dynamics software based on MSTMM proposed in this paper provides a powerful platform for dynamics modeling and simulation of weapon systems,which laid a foundation for the optimization design of the weapon system dynamics performance.
