Since the 1970 s,serious environmental problems such as global warming, acid rain, extinction of species, destruction of the ozone layer, waste, air pollution and deforestation have led many countries to reconsider the economic growth that destroys the natural environment. In response to the seriousness of these environmental problems, the important concept proposed at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 was sustainable development.Sustainable development means that future economic management should harmonize economic development with environmental preservation and satisfy the needs of the present generation without harming future generations.Through sustainable development, companies can better adapt to the requirements of eco-friendly development, participate in international competition and maintain a sustainable competitive advantage. This is because many laws and regulations on environmental protection become increasingly stringent and people's environmental consciousness is increasing day by day.The most important part of sustainable development is the development of environmental knowledge.Environmental knowledge saves resources and prolongs its service life, reduces energy use, reduces pollutant emissions, and ensures harmonization of product production chain and ecological environment. The ultimate goal of environmental knowledge is to promote an organic combination of economic, social and environmental benefits.Applying environmental knowledge in to production processes not only saves resources, increases production efficiency, but also improves corporate image, driving overall economic growth. So the environmental knowledge has become one of the most important intangible assets for organizations in today's competitive environment.Environmental knowledge includes the concept of natural environments and ecosystems, and is a kind of knowledge that enables people to know and solve the problems raised in environmental protection and sustainable development. Therefore, combining environmental management with knowledge management to achieve sustainable development goals has become an important issue to ensure business prosperity.Current business trends are aimed at a combination of knowledge management and environmental knowledge management, and governments and organizations are focusing on these concepts. The concept of environmental knowledge management combines organizational explicit knowledge with tacit knowledge management and controls environmental impact through accumulation, utilization, sharing and creation of environmental knowledge. It is essentially a fusion of knowledge management and environmental management. Therefore,in order to effectively manage environmental knowledge within an organization, traditional knowledge management should be used, while the inherent characteristics of environmental knowledge should be reflected.Knowledge sharing and creation is a key part of knowledge management and has the greatest impact on knowledge accumulation within an organization.Knowledge sharing is a fundamental element of an organization's success and has been adopted as a survival strategy.Knowledge limited to individuals can not contribute to organizational knowledge accumulation. However,it is not easy to share knowledge effectively in the organization due to many factors that obstruct knowledge sharing and characteristics of knowledge. In addition, the sharing and creation of environmental knowledge is also influenced by various special factors apart from common knowledge due to rapid success, immediate benefits, and environmental indifference. In order to accurately analyze the factors that affect the accumulation of environmental knowledge in an organization and to establish effective methods to maintain the competitiveness of the enterprise.,it is necessary to develop a proper environmental knowledge accumulation model. To date, however,a comprehensive model for accumulating and disseminating environmental knowledge in the organization has not been studied, and only the effects of various factors based on traditional statistical methods are evaluated. The reason is that there is no proper knowledge management model that can take into account the characteristics of environmental knowledge and environmental management. The business world is a statistical system in which many agents participate and a number of factors operate.Using traditional knowledge management research methods,it is difficult to consider the impact of numerous agents and many factors on environmental knowledge management. The physical world including many particles and the social world including many agents have many common features, and macroscopic behavior can be statistically predictable from the constituent particles or agents' characteristics. If we can simulate the characteristics of the whole system by the probability distribution of agent behavior based on the statistical mechanics of physics,it may be more advantageous to explain the phenomenon than other knowledge management models. The application of statistical thermodynamics in the financial field of economics, such as the study of money, wealth, and income distributions, has attracted much attention to scholars. This paper attempted to study the effects of organization characteristics on the accumulation of environmental knowledge in organizations by using statistical thermodynamics of physics. We first divide the factors influencing the accumulation of environmental knowledge in the organization into characteristics of members, characteristics of knowledge, and organizational cultural characteristics in combination with traditional knowledge management.Next,we constructed a new environmental knowledge accumulation model and established a simulation method, and then successfully studied the effects of the characteristics of organizational members, organizational culture, and knowledge itself on the sharing and accumulation of environmental knowledge within the organization. From the results of the study, the rate of environmental knowledge accumulation in the organization is influenced by the knowledge absorptive capacity of the members,eco-friendly attitude, ambiguity characteristics of environmental knowledge, organizational learning culture and eco-friendly culture. And the amount of environmental knowledge accumulation is affected by the knowledge innovation ability and the eco-friendly attitude of the members, the depreciation characteristic of environmental knowledge value, and the eco-friendly culture.Members' environmental attitudes change the impact of knowledge absorption and creativity abilities on environmental knowledge accumulation. No matter how high a member's abilities are, these abilities can not contribute to an organization's accumulation of environmental knowledge without an eco-friendly attitude. From the comprehensive analysis of the results, the organizational culture has a great influence on the accumulation of environmental knowledge of the organization, and the most important factor is the degree of eco-friendly culture in the organization. Finally,we checked the applicability of the new model through actual data, then comprehensively analyzed the overall results and suggest some countermeasures to improve the accumulation of environmental knowledge in the organization. We believe that the accumulation model of environmental knowledge based on statistical thermodynamic methods can help the organizations analyze the dynamic nature of diffusion and accumulation of environmental knowledge in enterprises and build an efficient environmental knowledge management system.
