In order to trace the geological materials basing on the geochemical survey data,a gold metallogeneis constructed according to the idea of the geochemical gene.Eleven elements(include 5 hydrothermal metallogenic elements and 6 inactive elements)are sequencedin the gold metallogene as Ti,Sb,Th,Bi,Nb,Au,Zr,Ag,La,Pb,and Y.The reference values to normalizethe contentsof the 11 elements in the spectral line of the gene are also proposed based on the abundance values of 5 types of samples in China,including acid rocks,neutral rocks,basic rocks,soil and river sediments.The gold metallogene of the ideal ore or the ideal gold mineralizedsample is 12020202020.11 weathing profiles are selected to test the gold metallogene while a cross section profile(rock)of a gold ore veinin Linglong gold deposit area,3 samples of weathering profiles near deposits(from rock to soil)withdifferent degrees of mineralization,1:20000 soil data in Huaishuping gold deposit area and 1:200000 stream sediment data in Xiongershan areaare selected as case studies to apply the gold metallogene.The gold metallogene exhibits stable heredity,inheritance,and similarity but also display variability duringthe test in the 11 profiles,and the similarity of 40% can be used as the criteria to discriminate samples with or without gold mineralization.The similarity between the genes of the veins or the mineral rock samples near the veins in the Linglong gold depositand the ideal mineralization gene(12020202020)is quite high while the similarity of the rock samples far from the veins is gradually reduced.The mineralized samples near the vein are all over 40%,and the fresh rock samples are all under 40%.The three weathering profiles near the gold deposits have different mineralization degrees.The similarity of gold metallogene is consistent with the actual description of the samples.So the gold metallogene may be viewed as an potential integrated index of discriminating samples with or without gold mineralization.Most of the gold anomaly samples in the 1:20,000 soil samples and 1:200,000 river sediment samples survey regions are distributed in the areas with similarity above 40%,which can discriminate the mineralization degree of samples objectively,and the high similarity area is spatially consistent with the position of each deposit.In summary,the gold metallogene is applied to three case studies.The results indicate that the 40% value ofthe similarity of the metallogene relative to the ideal ore can be viewed as the criteria to discriminate samples with or without gold mineralization and the gold metallogene may also be viewed as an integrated index of recognizing the gold mineralization in geochemical exploration.
