A set of samples within different geological existence, particularly extractable organic matter of low mature source rocks, insoluble macromolecule(kerogen),high mature solid bitumen and source rocks, and oil-bearing fluid inclusions have been carried out for organic geochemical analysis with newly developed technologies, such as molecular sieve, compound specific irotope ratio,pyrolysis-gas chromatography(GC)-mass spectrum(MS),laser micrpyrolysis and laser ablation GC-MS,respectively.Different source and corresponding depositional environments have been studied, five preliminary conclusions were drawn.Low mature oil shales are perfectly suitable for biomarkers studies,Huadian oil shales especially suitable for lacustrain algal sourced hydrocarbon analysis.L race botryococcus braunii and dinoflagellates, the light d13C values for hopenes point clearly to an origin from methanotrophic bacteria.Submerged plants could be the main source of n-alkanes.Pyrolysis and organic petrographic analysis of the kerogens of tow Huadian oil shales show the microalgae is the major contributor of organic matters within. The relative proportion of aromatic compounds in the pyrolysates of HD-20 could be related to the higher plants or macroalgae.C40 monoaromatic lycopene diverate indicates bontryococcus barunii monitored by microscopic observation belongs to race L.Other unknown microalgaes could exist according to the distributions of n-alk-dienes and alk-l-enes.The hydropyrolysis of high mature lowerpaleozoic source rocks from Tarim Basin has been carried out to study the biomarkers characteristics. The relative distributions of n-alkanes and cyclic hexanes are quite similar indicate a close source.Aromatic compounds indicate higher mature digree for Cambrian source rocks than the Ordovician source rocks even they are all over mature. And Gloeocapsomorpha prisca may be an important source of hydrocarbons within these source rocks.A comparison between two different types of pyrolysis methods has been carried out to study the biomarkers generated from a high mature solid bitumen sample.Pyroprobe results show that aromatic hydrocarbons were the major product which indicates a high plant source, while laser micropyrolysis gave a predominance of aliphatic hydrocarbons which is consistant with IR spectrum. It has been suggested that laser micropyrolysis may be more suitable for the biomarker analysis of solid bitumen samples. The organic geochemical analysis for the hydrocarbon composition of bulk samples of oil-bearing fluid inclusions are well developed, since individual fluid inclusions technologies are the main aim of the progress for international institutes. While the developments of instruments, including sample chamber and transfer line, are crucially important for the single fluid incusios analysis. The newly developed facility could monitored the hydrocarbons between i-C4-n-C33,overided the limitation of C20 for this technology. The individual fluid inlcusions geochemical results show that the first charged oil represented by the yellow fluorescence fluid inclusions, may sourced the high quality source rock of ?1-O1 with a long migration distance, whilst the later charged oil represented by the blue fluorescence fluid includions may sourced from the O3 carbonated source rocks.
