The Mechanism Of Actors’ Heterogeneity Affecting University-industry Cooperative Relationship Quality

The industry-university cooperation is a strategic requirement for the construction of an innovative country,which has become an important means to improve the country’s innovation ability.The research has been deepening.Some basic understandings have been reached in the following aspects: Firstly,there are differences in organizational nature,goals,knowledge and abilities of the cooperation actors.Secondly,the quality of the cooperative relationship directly affects the success or failure of the cooperation activities.Third,actors’ heterogeneity affects the quality of cooperative relationship.Thus,improving the quality of cooperation is an urgent problem to be solved.However,the cooperation is a complicated process,which is the result of the interaction between the heterogeneous actors.The existing research doesn’t give a clear answer to how to coupling the resources and elements caused by the change of relations under the condition of heterogeneous actors.This study integrated use of resource-based view theory,transaction costs theory and social network theory,with the actors’ heterogeneity as a starting point,in the perspective of subject relations,explores the cooperation mechanism under heterogeneity relations.Specifically,the following problems are studied:1.What is the connotation and characteristics of the heterogeneity of the cooperation subject of industry-university?2.How can the heterogeneous feature elements of different subjects combined act the cooperation relationships and affect the quality of cooperation separately or jointly?3.Will the cooperation intention and relationship structure play an intermediary role in the above relationship?4.How will these relationships change under the action of a dynamic environment?With the integrated use of theoretical and empirical research method,this study combined qualitative and quantitative research and carried out linear regressionanalysis on the sample data and structural equation model analysis through the 124 questionnaire survey paper in the enterprise which have participated cooperation to study the above problems.The empirical results show that the organizational heterogeneity and target heterogeneity of the cooperative subject can directly affect the quality of cooperative relationship.The cooperative intention and relationship structure play a full mediating role in the relationship between target/resource heterogeneity and the quality of cooperative relationship.The relationship between the heterogeneity and the cooperative quality is the dynamic of the external environment.The results show that the long-term and stable relationship between the cooperation subject should be kept in condition of consistent target,resource complementarity,ability compatibility and behavioral unity.The subjects should learn to trust each other,share and exchange experiences regularly,and work together to overcome difficulties.
