The contradiction between the complexity of innovation activities and the decentralization of innovative resources makes the endogenous innovation unsustainable.In the context of open innovation,innovative teams are increasingly bridging team boundaries and seeking external support to enhance their creativity.Among the member of the team,team leader is the main implementer of boundary spanning behavior.This study focuses on the theme of team leader boundary spanning behaviors on creativity,and the purpose of this study is to constructed a multi-level integration model.The problem to be solved is as follows:(1)Does team leader boundary spanning behaviors have a direct effect on team creativity?(Team-level main effect);? What is the impact mechanism of team leader boundary spanning behaviors on team creativity?(Team-level mediation effect);? What is the boundary condition of team leader boundary spanning behaviors and team creativity?(Team level moderated mediation effect);? Does team leader boundary spanning behaviors have a direct effect on employees' creativity?(The multilevel main effect);? What is the impact mechanism of team leader boundary spanning behaviors on employees' creativity?(Cross-level mediating effect)Based on the social cognition theory,organizational support theory and cognitive evaluation theory,this study collects data from 32 enterprises in Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone and Jishan base of Jiangsu Software Park.By using SPSS,HLM,Mplus and R software,this study operates the data through quality analyzing,descriptive statistics and research hypothesis testing and have some conclusions:? Team leader boundary spanning behaviors have significant direct positive effect on team creativity,and among the three dimension of boundary spanning behaviors,only ambassadorial activities have significant direct positive effect on team creativity,task coordinator activities and general information searching activities have no significant effect on team creativity;? Team creative efficacy mediate the relation between team leader boundary spanning behaviors and team creativity;? Team leader learn goal orientation moderate the mediation effect of team creative efficacy,that is,only when team leader learn goal orientation is lower,team creative effect can mediate the relation between team leader boundary spanning behaviors and team creativity;? Team leader boundary spanning behaviors have significant positive effect on employees creativity;? employees' creative self efficacy mediate the relation between team leader boundary spanning behavior and employees creativity.The main theoretical contributions of this study is as follow:first,this study builds a multi-level integrated framework about creativity research and explores the common factors of employees' creativity and team creativity;Second,this study expands the existing leadership research perspective on creativity and brought the leader' external behaviors into the analysis framework;third,based on social cognitive theory,this study argues that creative self-efficacy mediate the relation between team leader boundary spanning behaviors and creativity;finally,this study explores the boundary condition of the leader boundary spanning behaviors on creativity.
