An Empirical Research On Economic Growth In The Districts And Counties Of Chongqing

Economic growth is the fundamental of human society advancement, also the important issues in economics. Along with the development and the progress of science and technology, the mode, structure and content of economic growth also changed significantly, not only for the scale and speed, but also for the main driving factors of economic growth and the relationship, and for the performance of the internal mechanism of sustainable economic development. For a particular space especially in the less-developed regions of the county's economy, economic growth is particularly urgent, the status of various production factors in the region and the relationship between them plays an important role in regional economic growth and sustainable development. Chongqing as an important strategic position?in the less-developed stage and the development potential for this area is tremendous. It is a central municipality under the direct control of the central districts from the administration, as well as the economic endowment and the development phase is similar to the provincial structure of the national miniature. Under the background and reform trend of county directly by the province and, empirical research on the districts and counties of Chongqing has provide strong evidence and realistic meaning. This is the starting point and main idea of the research in this dissertation.In a whole, the line of this dissertation is identify problems, analyze problems, research reasons, suggestion to the policy, empirical analysis on economic growth in the districts and counties of Chongqing. The body frame includes eight chapters: The first chapter is an introduction; the second chapter reviews the theory of economic growth, focus on the economic growth theory, regional development theory, and sustainable development theory. The third chapter mainly introduces the characteristics of the economic development of Chongqing;The fourth chapter analyzes the economic growth in the districts and counties of Chongqing by using statistical analysis method, which analyzes the current situation and the problem from the point of quantitative analysis. In the fifth chapter, by constructing the spatial co-integration equation used to analyze the economic development in the districts and counties of chongqing, impacts various factors of the district which has been researched. The sixth chapter is based on the conclusions of the fifth chapter, using the structural equation model to research the influence of various factors on the economic growth of districts and counties. In the seventh chapter, the article puts forward the development of economic integration in the Chongqing district. The eighth chapter summarizes the research results and puts forward policy recommendations.Specifically, this paper first introduces the development of China's county economy, and emphasis on analyzes the current situation and problems of economic development in the districts and counties of chongqing. This dissertation has completed the collection and pre-processing of the county's economic growth data, according to the statistical yearbook?research reports?economic management databases and other data sources. Mainly use of spatial statistics, from county economic power?average level and development speed, design the three levels of economic growth indicators, based on the level of economic growth indicators, the district of Chongqing was divided into high, medium and low growth areas. Through analysis, three conclusions are drawn: First, all districts and counties of Chongqing's economic growth showed significantly positive spatial correlation. Second, capital investment in Chongqing's districts shows similar aggregation morphology with it's economic growth. Third, there are some differences in human capital investment in various districts and counties of Chongqing, distribution shows no significant spatial correlation.After fundamental analysis, the article construct space co-integration equation to analyze economic development of the districts and counties, based on spatial econometric. Collect the panel data of 38 districts and counties of 15 years since Chongqing directly under the Central Government, and considered the spatial dependence of the panel data and the non-stationary of panel data, quantitative research the effect of the input, industrial structure and urbanization on the economic growth of districts and counties. Research suggests that:(1) a county's economic growth within the local area and its capital input?human capital level?urbanization and industrial structure exists a co-integration relationship. Meanwhile, there is a space co-integration relationship between the neighboring counties of capital investment and human capital level. The overall performance is the whole domain co-integration.(2) The material capital, human capital level, the level of industrial structure and the improvement of urbanization can not only promote the economic growth of the county in a long time, but also have a positive effect on the economic growth of neighboring counties(3) Economic development in the districts and counties has significant spatial dependence, and has positively affect on the economic growth of neighboring counties.(4) Transportation infrastructure on the economic development in the districts and counties is not significant, and also not significant on the economic growth of neighboring counties in the spatial spillover effect.Based on the impact factors of spatial econometric analysis in the economic growth, combined with the current domestic economic circles' suggestion on the adjustment of structure, the dissertation divides the impact of economic growth in the districts and counties into structural factors and total factors through construct structural equation model and repeat modifications and tests, examining the influential path of structural and total factors on the economic growth in the districts and counties. The research shows that both the total and structural factors have a significant positive effect on the regional economic growth of Chongqing. Therefor, for the less-developed regions such as Chongqing, increasing investment and human capital is the fundamental strategy, but cannot blindly increase the investment, not at the expense of structural optimization, industrial upgrading, ecological environment, etc. The scientific and reasonable choice is enlarging the total investment to the growth of total amount, which is driving the structural adjustment that promotes economic sustainable development.The end of this dissertation analyze the development of the economic integration in the districts and counties of chongqing. Based on the analysis of the economic growth in the districts and counties of chongqing from the perspective of the preceding elements, we put forward the developmental path of economic integration in Chongqing. Mainly to promote the integration of the city's functionality by the differentiation of every county, in the districts and counties, the main industry development promotes the integration of the city's industrial layout; in order to promote the city's districts and counties interconnection infrastructure should be integrated into the county to equalize basic public services that may promote the integration of the city's social undertakings, in order to enhance the ability to further promote the sustainable development of the county. Strengthen of municipal coordination?the good land of the valve?a good job of financing security?a good job of population layout?improving the public service system?strengthen the administrative system reform and other aspects of the proposed countermeasures achieve innovation?coordinated?open?green and shared development in Chongqing.The innovation of this dissertation is mainly reflected in three aspects.(1) The dissertation based on the spatial econometric model spatial co-integration equation economic of the the districts and counties in chongqing's economic growth, consider both the cross section as a unit of panel data dependencies between space and non-stationarity of panel data simultaneously, measure the relevant variables and its spatial lag in a long-term effect on county economic growth.(2)Using structural equation model to analyze the influence path of various factors on the economic growth of districts and counties economy. On the basis of spatial panel analysis, further use structural equation model to measure the direction and size of the economic development in the districts and counties of chongqing from the total and structural factors angles.(3)The research has proposed the developing path of the districts and counties' economic integration. At the same time, the research on the county's economy, the domestic research sample using the county economy under the provincial structure. This dissertation takes the 38 districts and counties of Chongqing as the research object, regard the district and the county as the same level of research object, under the provincial government of big background general trend, can be use as a theoretical and practical exploration of innovation.
