IEEE 802.22 WRAN(Wireless Regional Area Network),the first standar for cognitive radio,allows Customer Primers Equipment(CPE)use the TV white space without disturbing the primary users.CPE first enters the WRAN shall be authenticated and obey the system rule.How to set up a secure and efficient authentication protocol and manage the CPE faces big challenges.In this thesis,we concern on the design of authentication protocol and handover protocol,and CPE's trust calculation and management in WRAN based on IEEE 802.22.Firstly,we propose an Enhanced Certificated-based Authentication protocol(ECA)based on the security analysis on the IEEE 802.22.By proved with BAN(Burrows,Abadi,and Needham)logic and AVISPA(Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols and Applications),ECA overcomes the interleaving attack,improve the security functionality and reduce the authentication delay compared to the authentication protocol of IEEE 802.22.Secondly,to reduce the handover authentication delay for a full EAP-TLS process in WRAN,we propose two solutions: an efficient EAP-based Proxy Signature handover authentication protocol(EPS)and EAP-based Pre-authentication scheme for inter-WRAN handover(EPW).By proved with BAN logic and AVISPA,EPS and EPW get mutural authentication and key agreement with strong anti-attack.EPS and EPW reduce the computation cost and delay incurred in the handover authentication process compared to the IEEE 802.22.Lastly,we propose a Dynamic Trust Model for spectrum management(DTM)in WRAN.In DTM,CPE's trust value is calculated by subjective logic to manage CPE' behaviors and help SUBS make spectrum decisions.We design a trust-based spectrum decision scheme which encourages the CPE taking positive activies.The simulation shows that DTM can reduce the errors of SUBS's spectrum decisions.In summary,we propose efficient authentication protocol and handover scheme based on the analysis of the IEEE 802.22 technique,and a dynamic trust model for spectrum management to regulate CPE obeying the FCC's rules in WRAN.
