Microwave radiometer calibration technology is a prerequisite for quantitative remote sensing applications.The fully polarized microwave radiometer,as a passive microwave remote sensor,not only measures two cross-polarization components of the target microwave radiation signal,but also measures its complex correlation quantity.To achieve a high-precision calibration of a fully polarized microwave radiometer,a precise and fully polarized microwave radiation calibration standard is required.At present,the existing natural calibration source and the conventional artificial calibration source cannot produce accurate and known radiation bright temperature signal with all stokes parameters.It is urgent to develop a fully polarized calibration source,and its application technology.In this paper,a new type of full polarization calibration source is developed for the calibration of the fully polarized microwave radiometer,and four adjustable Stokes parameters are produced by rotating the polarized wire grid.Based on the theory of electromagnetic wave propagation,this paper deduces the bright temperature theory of linear polarization and phase retarder.Then the system design and key components of the fully polarized calibration source are developed,and a new type of fully polarized calibration source is developed.Finally,the performance test of the key components of the fully polarized calibration source,the application of the full polarization calibration source system test and the full polarization radiometer calibration are carried out,and evaluation and verification for the performance and application effect of the full polarization calibration source are carried out.In this paper,a new type of polarized calibration source is developed for the first time in the world.The innovation of the paper also includes: 1)The theoretical formula of the radiation transfer of the new polarized calibration source is deduced by the theory of electromagnetic wave transmission.The electromagnetic wave of the heat radiation source is given by the line polarization source and the new phase retarder,the theoretical model of the new calibration source is established,and the simulation results of four stokes bright temperature parameters are given.2)Developed the absorbing material for blackbody using,produced microwave black body using this material,after testing,a number of performance indicators better than similar foreign material,achieved the localization of black body with the absorbing material,solved the bottleneck problem of raw materials for microwave black body using;3)Developed a polarization separation wire grid winding device,produced a polarization separation line gate products,to achieve the localization of the polarization separation grid,the technical performance to meet the needs of microwave radiometer calibration;3)Developed a polarized separation wire grid winding device to produce a polarized separation wire grid products,to achieve the polarization of the separation of wire grid localization,technical performance to meet the needs of microwave radiometer calibration for the future;4)The design and layout of the industrialized product is carried out on the whole polarized calibration source,making it more practical.Easy to use as a calibration test equipment to improve the polarization rotation mode,conducive to the application in a variety of environments;5)Developed a fully polarized microwave radiometer laboratory and spaceborne calibration method,laid technical foundation for the application improvement in the future.
