Study On The Social Transformation Of Yugur Immigrant Community From The Perspective Of Moral Change

While the migration of ethnic minorities in other areas caused their cultural changes,it also brought about the social transformation of ethnic immigrant communities.The study of the social transformation of ethnic minority immigrant communities not only helps to enrich rural social transformation theories,but also facilitates the social integration and development of immigrant community.This study uses a Yugur immigrant community as its research object,and uses field survey methods such as participation observation and in-depth interviews to collect research data from the perspective of moral change.Through deep description and comparative analysis,it shows that the transformation process of the groups and organizations such as families,neighborhoods,community in terms of structure,function,and ethics,etc.,which are caused by the transformation of Yugu's immigrant production mode.Thus it integrally reflects the social transformation process of the minority immigrant community and reveals the mechanism of social transformation.The relocation of immigrants has stimulated the transformation of immigrants' livelihood from "settlement of pastoralism-traditional agriculture-modern agriculture".The immigration status has been transformed from "settle herdsmen-traditional farmers-modern peasants".The concept of development has evolved from the "survival development" to the "investment development".Under the impetus of development transformation,immigrants' family structure,function,and the moral norms of relationships between family members have changed.The speeding up of the core of family structure has objectively formed the husband and wife's moral norms of division of labor.The family generational relationship shows the characteristics of reducing the support burden and raising the burden of responsibility for supporting children.The ceremonial interaction based on human ethics still exists between brothers and sisters,but the interest considerations in the interactive process have become an important factor in affecting the sibling relationship.The relocation of immigrants has transformed the relationships of neighborhoods.After entering into the migrant community,the moral norms of the neighborhood with humanization as its main feature have more characteristics of interest exchange.In the process of transition from animal husbandry to agriculture,it objectively needs to establish a new neighborhood organization,that is Fang Tian,because agriculture relies on irrigation system.Fang Tian played an important role in the constructions of immigration community,the management of irrigation,the organization of production,community management,and entertainment integration.The community formed an operation mechanism of “self-management,self-service”.In the course of operation,it formed an organizational ethics that put Fang Tian's overall interests first and reject the preoccupied individuals.In the context of developing rural economy and the “project system”,the function of the grassroots organization of the immigrant community has transformed.Before relocating,it undertook the “upward” function,such as collecting taxes.Now its function is downward.In addition to day-to-day management services,its most important job is to apply for various development projects.In the practice of project application and distribution,the community public morality is changed from the perspective of fair equality of opportunity in the early stage of immigration to the perspective of instrumental justice.In the process of immigration community development,immigrants organize small groups in order to realize the interests of the relevant families.They struggle and protect the interest and rights,which transcend family,Fangtian,community organizations,and even cross community.They selectively use norms such as relatives,morals,and laws to fulfill their self-interest,and the moral integration mechanism of immigrant community presents the characteristics of “mixed moral norms”.The author portrays the process of social transformation of immigrant community from the perspective of moral change,and it was found that the social structure of the immigrant community is changed from “human sentimental difference field” to a “mixed difference order field”;the interaction of immigrants regulates is changed from "human ethics" to "tool-based ethics";the moral connotation of the community is transformed from a tool of value guidance to a tool of interest adjustment,from the perspective of the nature of ties between individual immigrants as a group and an organization.From the perspective of the community social transformation mechanism of Yugur immigrants,the government-led immigration relocation is the exogenous driving mechanism for the social transformation of immigrant community.The pursuit of self-interest,which is formed by the immigration subject in the process of development,is the endogenous driving mechanism for the social transformation.And market forces and population mobility are the accelerating mechanisms.
