Study On Lebanese Political Development

Lebanon, as a tiny country in the fertile crescent of the Middle East, it is a "small but complete" State, its domestic gestates a history of Christian civilization and islamic civilization coexistence, With the traditional local features and modern western democratic politics combination of characteristics. Therefore, the Lebanese State affects the political development in the Middle East and the West's nerves, which is a very urgent theoretical and practical problem. In fact, most the third world Countries, including the Middle East Countries after independence, has been exploring how to realize the sustainable development of the state and society. But present political undevelopment, Such as political corruption, political instability, lack of administrative and political dictatorship, the political life of people to participate in the political polarized, internal turmoil, democracy construction. Lebanon also belongs to developing countries; domestic politics is also more or less of these phenomena. Lebanon has a widespread sectarian community, ethnic and religious complex, external intervention frequent countries, the study of the Lebanese political development, is helping to understand some common political development in the Middle East countries, Such as family and political tradition, close combination between religion and politics, the environment of political development is under the influence of the region. At the same time, we can thoroughly studies the uniqueness of the Lebanese political development, Such as synergistic democratic development is in line with the status quo of Lebanon many religions co-exist, is also an important theory and practice of democratic politics of division in pluralistic society.This research is bases on the Lebanon's development history, from the Lebanese political influence and restriction of internal conditions and external environment of development, combined with the Lebanese state political practice, interpretation of the Lebanese problems existing in the development of national politics.This dissertation includes six parts; the introduction discusses the research of Lebanon's political development starting point and the practical significance. Conclusion explains the characteristics of the Lebanese political development, in order to provide reference for national politics in the Middle East. The main text consists of four chapters, mainly discussing several problems in the Lebanese political development, namely Family political, Sectarian politics, Consociational democracy and External intervention.The first chapter discusses the Lebanese family history and presents situation of political development. Family is an important part of the Lebanese state, and social development, its political performance is the revival and lineage politics or political dynasty. Therefore, the first chapter discusses origin and status of the Lebanese family, the power of the Lebanese family, connotation and characteristics of family politics, as well as the analysis of political factors influencing the Lebanese family.The second chapter discusses the influence of sectarian political development of Lebanon, discusses the history and present situation of Lebanese sectarian politics development. This chapter concludes that Sectarian politics is a unique form of political development in Lebanon, is a kind of local political culture gave birth to the political phenomenon. Lebanese sectarian political system itself has very high theory value; it shaped a decentralized political tradition. In practice, it needs to preserve the sect in the history of the balance of power or force, to guarantee the stable Lebanon's political development.The third chapter discusses the Lebanese unique Consociational democracy effects on political development, Consociational democracy shaped Lebanon is more distinct democracy in the Middle East. Consociational democracy is a distinctive feature of the Lebanese political development; it has both jointed and competed, but also reflected the diversity of the diversification of Lebanese social and political.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the Lebanese regional political characteristics, it includes some aspects, such as history, culture, religion and ideology, expounding the great powers in the Middle East and western powers of Lebanon game, as well as impacting the Lebanese political development.In conclusion, this dissertation centers on the inherent quality of the existing in the development of the Lebanese political problems, and examines a series of significant problems which have impact on Lebanese State and Society.
