A Study On Visual Arts Spread Of The Red Cliff Ode

The Red Cliff Ode is Su Shi's representative work,as well as one of the classical literature works in ancient Chinese history.Since the Red Cliff Ode came out,it has become the major subject of ancient painters' paintings and the main area of literature spread.The painters accepted it and spread it vigorously.On the process of spread,many new literature forms and literature types were created,promoting the spread of literature and its development.Chinese ancient literature and paintings are always linked,and they are the essences of human's thoughts and wisdom.In the meantime,they are the ways of carry on the culture of preceding generation and inspire the development of latter culture.While literature works record and convey human emotions by words,paintings can do the same using specific calligraphy and painting language.They achieve the same goals in different ways,both of them are builder of human civilization and national culture and spirit.This paper will use the ways of interdisciplinary and across-subjects study,use the visualization and sociology method,which put the literature into the version of culture,and draw the conclusion that the ways of literature spread is comprehensive and it is the result of the culture situation and social background.Introduction explains the reasons,significance,present situation and the research method of the study,discussing the research angle of literature spreadnowadays in three aspects: the research of The Red Cliff Ode,the research of the paintings regarding The Red Cliff Ode,and the research of the spread ofpaintings and literature,which take an overall look of current research situation related to this study.Chapter One is about Su Shi and the outline of The Red Cliff Ode.By analyzing Su Shi's and the writing background of The Red Cliff Ode and other literature works,provide knowledgeable reference to the study of the spred of The Red Cliff Ode in ancient paintings.Chapter Two mainly discusses painting Latter Red Cliff Prose Painting in Northern Song dynasty to explain that literature spread in its early stage was mainly by putting word and picture together which maximized the integrity and concreteness of literature works.At the mean time,calligraphy and painting language made the literature works more impressive and visualized,having the best spread effect both in cognition and aesthetic.Chapter Three restores the history background of Ma Hezhi and Zhao Gou's Red Cliff Prose Poems Picture and Zhao Min's calligraphy,analyzing the political status of the author were recognized by the politicians in the way ofcalligraphy and painting,which having a positive impact on the literature developing environment protection and the spread of literature works.Chapter Four By analyzing the full painting and the calligraphy inscription on the painting,which is to discuss the spread of Red Cliff Prose Poems Picture in minorities and its influence.As we can see,although the geographical environment,life habits and customs are different,the identity to culture is the same,which promoted the development of ancient Chinese literature.Chapter Five Researching it in detail and analyzing it deeply,we can find the great effect of The Red Cliff Ode in building Han culture confidence,developing Han culture in the time of minority's power.Chapter Six mainly researches the spread of The Red Cliff Ode in Ming Dynasty.By collecting and analyzing the data of various paintings on the subject of the red cliff,we can find that the spread of literature works gives great impact on the inheritance of the individual culture and regional culture.The visualized images give literature content some kind of symbolic meaning.Chapter Seven brings us to Qing Dynasty,the literature spread had new development.One hand,they were spread by paintings,but not limited by any kind of specific literature content;on the other hand,they were spread in many other forms,such as the derivative of paintings which completing the spread form from elegant to vulgar.In conclusion,by analyzing the fine art in the subject of The Red Cliff Odein each dynasty,we can see thatin the process of literature spread,the latter generation will make different choices due to the social background changes,political views,preference of individual aesthetics and culture construction.When making choices,people will think more about ideological implication of the works and the popularity of the authors.New literature forms and literary ecology will be created during literature spread in the form of calligraphy and painting.Finally,we can see,literature and calligraphy and painting work together to shape the character of the Chinese nation and build the aesthetic orientation and spiritual civilization of the Chinese people.
