The Study On Three Writers In The Late Tang Dynasty

Du Mu,Li Shangyin and Wen Tingyun are the three contemporary writers of the late Tang Dynasty.They are living in a crisis-ridden and gloomy historic era,but they have different life experiences.They have different personalities and different Knowledge and ideas,but all profoundly reflects the spirit of the times from different angles.They are all rich in literary talent,and have formed their own stylelish in their creation.When comparing their literary achievements,they are well matched.As a result,they had been called invariably as "Xiao Li Du" and "Wen Li".No matter what to discuss their similarities,or their differences,there are many topics to say.This paper takes them as the whole research object,and attempts to make an in-depth and systematic study on the contribution of the new era of literature and the significance of literary history under the general trend of culture and literature in the middle and late Tang dynasty.In this paper,the introduction Emphasizes their irreplaceable historical position in the late Tang Literature,and explains the necessity of conducting them as a whole,by reviewing the historical orientation and evaluation of them,and the research status of the literature in late Tang and Five Dynasties in the past two or three decades.The first chapter describes their life and friendship,elaborates the tragedy of their lives in the times,and their individual choices in the formation of their tragic prominent role,and then points out the full meaning of their tragedy.The second chapter focuses on their special status and significance in the culture and literature of the middle and late Tang Dynasty.First,they are placed in the narrative turn of Chinese Literature History,to illustrate their literary value in the special times from the two aspects of the meaning of literary history and literary meaning.Secondly,the second chapter expounds their irreplaceable position and role in the pattern,the peak and the boundary of the late Tang literature.Thirdly,the significance of their links is illustrated from the sequence of the Tang Dynasty scholars mentality.Marking with them,the centrifugal force of scholars in Tang Dynasty to the great Tang Dynasty began to function.Finally,it is pointed out that there have been a fundamental change in the attitude and position to the great Tang Dynasty of the late Tang Dynasty scholars with the early,prosperous and middle Tang Dynasty scholars,through the specific analysis of Du Mu and Li Shangyin's personality image and the female image in Li Shangyin's Titleless Poems.The third chapter focuses on their new literary changes and their contribution to the times.The first section is intended to illustrate the internal relationship between them and Han-Meng School of poetry in the background of the new changes in the middle Tang Dynasty,and to point out they not only carry forward the tendency of the school's innovative spirit and inner emotions,but also Communicate with it in the spirit of the times.In the second section,it is pointed out that the late Tang poetry is different from the previous literature in terms of the object and content of the literary expression,the literature technique of expression and the aesthetic interest,through the analysis of the formation of the late Tang Dynasty's peculiar smell,and then to pointe out that the unique smell of late Tang Poetry,which is from the brewing to the distribution while they began to turn inward in their writing for the first time.The third section expounds their contribution to the times from the narrative point of view,and Focuses on the relationship between the turnaround of their creation and the narrative enhancement of lyric poetry in the middle and late Tang Dynasty.The fourth section discusses the contemporary significance of their poems and The characteristics of sentimental times,using Du Mu and Li Shangyin as a case.The sixth section analyzes the reasons of the New Trends of Literature of Wen Tingyun and Li Shangyin and the Subject factor,and further reveals the archetypal meaning of its characters.The fourth chapter discusses the differences and causes of their literary achievements from their Family background,life experience,personality and ideology,as well as their talent,literary ideal and artistic pursuit and so on,and focuses on the significance of the sentimental tradition of Du Mu,Li Shangyin and Wen Tingyun's time in the history of Chinese literature and the history of human nature with the women subject in the new trends of Literature of Wen Tingyun and Li Shangyin as the core.
