Analysis The Stylization Form Vocabulary Of Figurative Sculpture

Art creation is a universal language,which could break the boundaries of time and space,communicate ancient with modern,the west with the east,the material world with the spiritual world.Therefore,how to interpret the language of art becomes the primary task of the art theorists and practitioners.Art style is the breakthrough of this research.Analysis on the spiritual and form characteristics of artistic style is a descriptive and conceptual interpretation way for the artistic language's richness and complex representation.It can be said that,the research on artistic style is the most important methodology in the study of artistic language.The heated debate about the “style issue” has never stopped in the world of art.Some wisdom and talent Chinese and foreign scholars and theorists have published articles,explaining their critical thinking for the style issue.In my opinion,a large part of the purpose of research on art theory is to guide the practice of art.As Chernyshevsky saying goes,"practice is the truth of thought.Things that must be debated in theory must be solved by the practice of real life." For art practitioners,how to create a unique way and a unique form of language is the purpose of our study and research on art style.So we should learn from the classic.In this thesis,I try to analysis some outstanding sculptors' unique style art works and their world view,artistic expression and vocabulary features from their works.Every mature artistic style has its own unique structure and composition rules.Every style could be understood in the art form of the level.The main element of this form system is the artistic form of vocabulary.So one of the main line of the thesis is to find a way to establish the system of the path by analyzing on the characteristics of classical art vocabulary and summarize the system of rules.While the other main line is to reveal the inner rules and historical continuity of artistic style expression way influenced by the power of human development history(such as the power of the spirit of the times,national art will).The rules and historical continuity is one of the few clues of researching on artistic style formation and development that we could handle.In the last chapter of the thesis,I analyze the expression of art formation elements in art practice by many outstanding modern sculptors' artistic style vocabulary.Thus spread wide and clear,multi angle and free thinking dimension for sculpture art practice.I hope to make clear the direction of study and research on figurative sculpture by finishing the thesis,trying to yield twice the result with half the effort on the way of artistic practice.
