Besides of referring individual, the "yi ge+ Personal NP(noun phrases) " construction is commonly used as a kind-denoting eXpression in modern spoken and written Chinese. It is a marked generic referent distinctive from bare NP(noun phrases). And it may often obtain pragmatic meanings in commentary conteXt. Therefore, it's deserved to be studied thoroughly. In our dissertation, we concentrate on its special usage as a generic referent related to a certain individual, that is represented in syntaX, semantics and pragmatics. And its distribution in the "Singular Personal Pronouns+ yi ge+ Personal Noun Phrases"construction can serve as an eXample.Firstly, the generic "yige+ Personal NP" structure that is related to a certain individual is clarified by comparing with usages of other generic "yige+Personal NP" structures and bare NP respectively in referent meaning and formal character. Then we make detailed descriptions about it in semantics and syntaX, and eXplain the functional factors which lead to its particular usages. Finally, a particular discussion is made about the distribution of being in the "Singular Personal Pronouns+ yi ge+Personal Noun Phrases"construction including its semantic characters, syntactic functions, formal category, and pragmatic functions, that can also help us to understand the individual-relating usage of the generic "yige+ Personal NP" structure more clearly and deeply. Our conclusions are as follows:First of all, being mainly used to indicate identities, the pragmatic usage that is related to certain individual of the generic "yige+personal NP" structure can be confirmed by several items, such as defined compositions, syntactic functions and semantic connections. Secondly, As syntactic function changes, its semantic features including objectivity and relative subjectivity always remain, but its characteristics in form, semantics and function vary at the same time. The last and the most important, all of its features are fundamentally resulted from its pragmatic function as " perspective ", assisted by syntactic, semantic and pragmatic mechanisms. And its usage in the "Singular Personal Pronouns+yi ge+ Personal Noun Phrases"construction as a special case is also motivated by the same function and assisted by similar mechanisms, eXcept for the decline of implementation mechanism to eXtensive reference and transferred-reference of Personal Pronouns.Several factors are focused on in this research of the generic "yige+personal NP" structure, including conteXt, styles of writting, and interactivity. Firstly, the implicit relation with certain individuals is produced in commentary conteXt. Secondly, a notable interaction between its usage and genre is also found. For eXample, in the "Singular Personal Pronouns+ yi ge+ Personal Noun Phrases" construction, the Personal Pronouns's being used as eXtensive references is resulted from the communication requirement of the public speaking genre. Thirdly, the representations of interactivity include its pragmatic function and the implementation mechanism of its function such as semantic relationship, its semantic objectivity, and especially its style distribution. Take the genre distribution as an eXample, on the one hand, though being artificially processed, oral narrations such as fictional conversation and actor's lines in movie drama still contain interactivity, that are all represented by turn-taking patterns, question patterns and pragmatic markers. On the other hand, written narrations also contain implicit communication characters due to the eXistence of potential readers, being reflected by the use of the first-person narration, as "I" and "we" implies subjective intervention and a corresponding "you" at the same time.
