Purpose:Digital technology has been more and more applied to all aspects of prosthodontics,prosthodontics digital technology has high precision,efficiency,automation and intelligence.In this paper,the accuracy of the digital impression and the traditional printing technology were analyzed and compared.Measuring the 3D printing materials and these mechanical properties.The digital technology used in prosthodontic production,observation of treatment.Methods:1.Study on the accuracy of digital scanning system in the prosthodontic of dental impression:In 6 volunteers was collected randomly and carried on direct method in digital scanning and three-dimensional reconstruction,the silicone rubber impression indirect method and then plaster model after that scanning three-dimensional reconstruction.Under the ensuring conditionof reliability and good repeatability,application of software used to measurethe digital model of four lower incisor crown(L0),the total width of front of dental arch(L1),the width of posterior segment arch(L2);the length of anterior arch(L3)and the length of posterior arch(L4).At the same time,the use of electronic vernier caliper on measuring the same point in plaster model,and the data were statistically analyzed by SPSS19.0 software.2.Study on mechanical properties of common prosthesis 3D printingmaterials:Tensile specimen designed and applied 3D printing technology.Material includes photosensitive resin,cobalt chromium alloy,Ti-6Al-4V alloy,pure titanium alloy used to product of the specimens.Parameters of the mechanical properties was tested and compared with the traditional parent material.Moreover,assessment the feasibility of this materials on the dental prosthodontic production.3.Digital technology clinical application:The digital technique was applied to six cases of patients who have been defined of defect or missing dentition,including 4 cases of fixed prosthodontic,1 case of overdenture and 1 case of removable denture.The direct impression scanning technology,indirect model scanning technology,CAD/CAM technology,3D printing metal stent technology and 3D printing planting guide plate technology and so on were used.Results:1.Study on the accuracy of digital scanning system in the reconstruction of dental model:(1)The direct digital model data measurement results: the width of upper incisor crown was 26.70 ±1.742mm;the anterior arch width was 34.39 ± 2.166mm;the posterior dental arch width was 48.63 ± 3.728mm;the right length was 36.84±3.086mm;the left arch length was 36.48 ± 3.116 mm.(2)The indirect method of digital model data measurement results: the upper incisor crown width was 26.70± 1.742 mm;the anterior arch width was 34.38 ± 2.162 mm;the posterior dental arch width was 48.64 ± 3.724 mm;the right length was 36.83 ±3.095 mm;the left arch length was 36.47 ± 3.119 mm.(3)Data measurement of the plaster model results: the upper incisor crown width was 26.77 ± 1.680 mm;the anterior dental arch width was 34.39 ± 2.171 mm;the posterior dental arch width was 34.39 ± 2.171 mm;the right arch length was 36.85 ±3.081 mm;the left arch length of 36.49 ± 3.105 mm.There was no significant difference between the direct method and the plaster model(P> 0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the indirect method and the plaster model(P> 0.05).2.Study on mechanical properties of 3D printing for common material in prosthodontic:The mechanical properties of 3D printing resin material,cobalt chromium alloy and Ti-6Al-4V alloy can meet the requirements of dental restoration materials.The poor mechanical properties of 3D printing pure titanium materialcan not meet the clinical needs.3.In the six cases,the repair of the patients was in good condition,and the retention and stability of the dentures were good and the occlusal relationship was good.Followed up for 0.5-2 years,the results were stable.Conclusions:1.Through the measurement and analysis on the accuracy of the direct method and indirect method of digital impression and model,with restoration of demand,the experimental results showedthat the digital impression and the accuracy of the model has no significant difference with clinical conventional silicone rubber impression.2.The experiment of 3D printing materials which includes resin material,cobalt chromium alloy material,titanium alloy material met the requirements of the clinical prosthodontic repair materials.Under the experimental conditions,the mechanical properties of 3D printed pure titanium materials can not meet the clinical requirements.3.The direct method and indirect method of digital impression technique,digital jaw position recording,digital design sheet,digital colorimetry,digital transmission,digital communication technology and digital processing design(3D printing technology,CAD/CAM Technology)applied to 6 cases defined defect and missing dentition patients,6 cases involving fixed prosthodontic,RPD and implant and implant overdenture prosthesis types.6 cases were in good accuracy and adjacency relation,the patients were satisfied with occlusal function and aesthetic effect.After0.5-2 years of follow-up observation,the results showed that the application of digital technology in stomatology can achieve good clinical results.
