The polymer solar cells(PSCs)have not been widly used because of the high cost.The new PSCs materials focused on improving the photovoltaic conversion efficiency,the molecular structures were becoming more and more complexed.The another way for PSCs research is development of new materials with the advantages of low cost,simple synthesis process.The raw material of azobenzene conjugated polymers with good optical-electronic performance can get wildly,and the synthesis process is simple,but less work has been done,never be used for PSCs.The paper focus on he development of azobenzene conjugated polymers and its application in PSCs.The molecular structure of azobenzene polymer was disigned and analysised with molecular simultion.The azobenzene polymer was synthesised and characterizated.The donor of PSCs,[60]PCBM was synthesised and purified.The paper discussed the macro and micro mechanism of PSCs,provided theoretical support for PSCs with PSCs making.The ratio of donor/acceptor and annealing was dicussed also.Through the study,the following results was gotten.a)There exsisted cis and trans structure in POPD and POAP,only cis structure in PPPD and PMPD.Azobenzene polymer chain growth by interface reaction,the polymer molecular weight is small with uneven distribution.b)The effects of reaction time,reaction temperature,p H value and proportion of raw materials on the yield were studied.The best reaction temperature is 0?,the full reaction time is 24 hour.The best p H of PPPD,PMPD and POPD are about 2,and the POAP is about 10.The molar ratio of o-phenylenediamine and p-phenylenediamine with nitrite are suitable to about 1.1,1.5 for m-phenylenediamine and 1 for o-aminophenol.c)The characterization of azobenzene polymers with IR,1HNMR and GPC is accordance with molecular simulation.The conductive of azobenzene polymers can be improved by doping I2.The conductive of POAP is 1.798 S cm-1 after dosing.d)The [60]PCBM was purified by HPLC,the purity increased from 95.8% to 99.5%.The recoveried C60,by-products and fresh C60 were added into the reactor,the [60]PCBM yield increased from 34% to 93.3%.e)Through the simulation of polymer solar cells,the solar cell efficiency? is associated with the following factors.Reduced Rs,the polymer solar cell fill factor FF moved to 100%.Increased Rp,the open circuit voltage Voc and FF increased significantly.Increased IL,?increased significantly.f)The Eg of donor is between 1.2e V to 1.7e V,the HOMO is between-5.1e V to-5.7e V,the LUMO is between-3.9e V to-4.0e V,the ? can be between 10.0% to 10.7%.g)The PSCs fabricated by inkjet printing technology.The ? is highest that azobenzene polymer: [60PCBM is 7:3 and the annealing rate is 2?/min,twice annealing process.The ? of PSCs based on POPA reached 1.012%.The azobenzene polymers are good photoelectric materials,but the ? of PSCs based on azobenzene polymers are still low,the factor include fabrication process and materials properity.The azobenzene polymer modification,purification and long chain are the key the used in PSCs or the others in the future.
