Study On Religious Space Form In Wuhan City

City is the accumulation and the carrier of culture, culture is the soul of the city. An attractive city is rich in unique urban culture. In recent years, with the large-scale construction of cities in our country, many ancient architectures and ancient ruins with deep history and cultural were annihilated by the pace of development. Cities tend to be the same and the characteristics of each city disappeared gradually. The protection of historical and cultural heritage becomes a very urgent problem in today’s social development. Religious sites space is an important component of urban historical and cultural heritage, religious architectures are art treasures of different historical periods. Religious space is an important part of urban public space and the important resource to create famous historical and cultural city and highlight the characteristics of the city. Development of religious tourism can promote the economy of city and improve the urban visibility. Research of religious place in the city is a very urgent task.Based on the theory of religion, environmental psychology, urban planning, architectural space theory and politics, this paper outlined the constituent elements of urban religious space and religious space form features, analysied the factors influencing the spatial form of religious places, combed the relationship between politics, economy, culture, religious doctrine and religious space, expounds the wuhan city space form features of religion, the specific places of worship of the four major religions in wuhan space form made detailed description, and tries to find out the causes of the formation of religious sites space shape characteristic, put forward suggestions on the protection and development planning, provided basic data and valuable theoretical support for the creation of historical and cultural city in wuhan.This paper includes nine chapters:Chapter one is introduction, which mainly expounds the research background and selection of topic, defines the relevant concepts, reviews related research both at home and abroad, puts forward the innovation of the paper point and the difficulty. The second chapter expounds the affect elements of urban religious space form from the religious architecture, religious architecture sketch, the botanical garden and the path of religious sites and square. The third chapter is study of the urban religious space form and the factors that affect the religious space form. Urban religious space form includes the site selection and the space form of religious places which includes function organization, path organization, space layout, garden layout and architecture form.The factors that affect the religious space form, mainly from the geographical environment, religious doctrine, politics, economy, culture and other aspects.The forth chapter simply introduces the development situation of religion in Wuhan, pointes out that politics is the decisive factor affecting the development of religion. The fifth chapter carries on the detailed analysis of space form of Buddhism places in wuhan; The sixth chapter parses the space form of Taoism places in wuhan; The seventh chapter analysises the space form of Islam places in wuhan; Chapter 8 resolves the space form of Christian places in wuhan; Chapter 9 is the concluse of this paper, different religious places of wuhan city space form are summarized, and the religious sites of wuhan city space protection and development planning are proposed.
