Study On Design Of Eating Utensils In Different Historical Periods Of China

Design of Chinese traditional eating utensils is an important part of Chinese traditional design,which closely relates to Chinese traditional culture and design.Design and Development of eating utensils continued throughout the whole history of art design,which had different design styles in different historical periods of China.The paper analyzes the design development and evolution of eating utensils of different historical periods in China,combined with five influence factors of design: craftsmanship,aesthetics,function,design philosophy and traditional culture.On the basis of above,it summarizes how eating utensils developed and evolved,the traditional culture's influence on design,and then makes a study on how to integrate the modern design with Chinese traditional culture.In the end,the prospect of design of eating utensils in the future and culture within design is put forward.Based on Chinese culture,history and sociology,and from the perspective of study on Chinese traditional eating utensils,the main research content is aesthetics of Chinese traditional design.The further study focuses on how to direct modern design,which not only reflects Chinese culture but also meets the aesthetic characteristic of modern society.About the development of future eating utensils,the paper proposes two ways: self-development and combination with modern society.Furthermore,it is proposed that there are three methods to achieve the combination of eating utensils design and modern society environment: modern industry combined with traditional handicraft industry,modern technology combined with traditional craftsmanship,and modern aesthetics combined with traditional culture elements.The three methods of combination can not only persist the culture elements of China,but also meet the need of modern society.About the design of future eating utensil design,the paper puts forward the trends towards experience design,which encompasses four manners: behavior experience,sensory experience,interactive experience and emotional experience.The development direction of experience design of future eating utensils design would meet the requirement of function and emotion for modern people.Furthermore,the concept and design thinking of culture within design is presented,and the development trends of Chinese future culture within design is proposed from four aspects.Firstly,based on modern commercial design,the future culture within design will tend to be multicultural fusion.Secondly,the trends of future culture within design will not be simple style recurrence,but the fusion of traditional culture and modern life.Thirdly,differential design will play more important role in the field of future design in the trend of popular design.Differential design can adapt to diverse market environment,meet the needs of different consumers,and make future culture within design more competitive.Finally,the direction of future culture within design will be the integration of traditional culture and modern design with the trend of spiral upward promotion.
