Fractured-carbonate heavy oil reservoir Shrinish is recovered primarily under natural energy,with horizontal wells plus CSS pilot.However,the outcome is rather poor,with high decline ratio,low oil withdrawal ratio and a few effective stimulation measures.This study is an integral research of stratigraphy subdivision,fractural identification,structural interpretation,reservoir prediction,reservoir characterization,geological modeling,numerical simulation and reservoir engineering.Based on core analysis,logging and seismic data as well as reinterpretation of logging data,some significant indexes are redetermined such as the cut-off value of net pay,OWC and GOC.Through the study of depositional microfacies,reservoir seismic data inversion and fluid distribution prediction are carried out.By integration of multiple attributes such as facies,dip angle and variance with the technology of following the trail of ant,generally applied in the filed of miner faults and fractures,an effective methodology is formed for faults system identification and fluid forecast.Reserves are recalculated according to the SPE standard.By means of reservoir engineering philosophy and numerical simulation,integral study is performed,containing decline type analysis,CSS pilot evaluation,optimization of key indexes in thermal recovery such as injection pressure,injection rate,and downhole steam quality etc.,as well as determination of the tech-economic thresholds of key indexes of single well such as initial production rate,cumulative production,etc..It's proved that Shrinish B can be divided into three sublayers,B1,B2 andB3 with reference to reservoir performance.This study suggests that thermal recovery technology should be applied into the whole field and sublayers B1&B2 should be preferentially developed with separate well patterns.Some research results have been employed in field and proved to be really effective.This study gives a significant instruction to the development of reservoir Shrinish.
