Along with the continuous development and progress of nano technology and green synthetic chemistry,metal nano catalysts have received extensive attention in scientific research and industrial applications.This study mainly introduces the preparation of Nano Bismuth and Nickel catalysts and their applications as a catalyst for the synthesis of Azobenzene,Quinoline,Aniline,Benzyl amine,Ethyl benzene,N-Benzyl aniline,and Diphenyl hydrazine.In the second chapter,the preparation of Bi Nano catalyst and its application in the selective synthesis of Azobenzene from corresponding Nitrobenzene were described.Through the screening of the catalysts,we found that the Bi nanoparticles have superior chemical and catalytic activity for conversion of nitro benzenes to Azobenzenes with excellent yields.In the third chapter,Nickel Nano crystals were synthesized and employed as catalyst for Quinoline synthesis from corresponding arylamines and allyl halide via coupling followed by cyclization.This synthesis is proven effective for broad range of aryl substrates,containing both electron-donating or electron-withdrawing substituents and the respective quinolines were obtained with good to excellent yields.The fourth chapter describes about Metal film/coated chemical reactors?tube or vessel?preparation and its application as catalyst for hydrogenation reactions.The reduction of Ph-NO2,Ph-N=N-Ph,Ph-CH=CH2,Ph-CH=N-Ph and Ph-CN to their respective reduced products?Ph-NH2,Ph-NH-NH-Ph,R-CH2-CH3,R-CH2-NH-R and R-CH2NH2?was performed without any difficulty.We found that the metal coated chemical reactor was stable during the reaction and can be reused for more than 20 times.The reaction yield is quantitative which provides a bright prospect for the industrial application.In all the reactions,the catalyst showed superior catalytic activity and selectivity in comparison with conventional metal catalysts,more over the reactions have good compatibility.
