The development and application of remote sensing technology has a bright future which is also important criteria to measure the science and technology level of a country.ZY-3satellite is the first three linear array high resolution stereo cartographic satellite in-orbit operation launched by our country. There is important value in the study and analysis of imaging quality and geometric positioning accuracy of ZY-3.This study developed the method to build ZY-3satellite's rigorous geometric model based on the prerequisite study of imaging attribute of liner array TDICCD push-broom satellite image after deeply studying the imaging method of three liner array stereoscopic cartographic satellite. During the study, one important part of work was to analysis the impact to satellite imaging from the factors such as satellite attitude accuracy.satellite attitude stability and variety Geomorphic conditions.eventually worked out the quantitative relationship existed among three liner array satellite positon accuracy, satellite orbit determination pose accuracy and platform stability. Comprehensive quality evaluation and applicability analysis were made to the satellite image of2Y-3at the end of study.The main innovative work as follows:1. Proposed rigorous geometric model of ZY-3based on state vector. The model based on the geometric vector modeling method was built after analysis about imaging method and structure both liner array CCD sensor and ZY-3sensor's. According to The line of sight vector correction method, the revise model was built to decrease the error which was existed in the condition that using the satellite state data without control and system error of satellite state parameter, at the same time rigorous geometric model accuracy was detected.2. Study resolution of ZY-3cartographic satellite. In this part.the main work was to generalize the conception of image resolution and studied the factor which influenced spatial resolution of image. Using the Imaging geometry relationship between imaging point and object point produced by rigorous imaging geometry model, method which was used to check the real resolution of ZY-3satellite was studied through the way both control point precise positioning and four points positioning. This study analyze different impact resourced form different geomorphic feature conditions and proposed quantitive method based on variable rate of information entropy to analyze the spatial resolution of satellite image.3. This study simple and rebuild three liner array CCD camera's imaging model as well as ZY-3's theoretical error model applied in stereoscopic cartographic. In this way.positioning accuracy error sources were studied deeply. The main factors impacted on positional accuracy such as satellite slant position measurement error, orbit position error and platform stability were studied in a emulation mode. The compare between ZY-3and other on application stereoscopic cartographic satellite was took to evaluate positon accuracy. Using ZY-3's image data for both flat ground and Hilly region, the study result showed that the model can properly analyze the satellite's cartographic accuracy.4. Computed quantitive relationship among satellite orbit determination pose accuracy,three linear array positioning accuracy and the platform stability. Concerning the impact from satellite attitude, quantitive method for ZY-3imaging quality evaluation was applied to analyze Satellite attitude stability and direction error's impact to MTF. Then Optimize and improve this chapter's study method though the emulation compare to the typical high resolution remote sensing satellites.5. For the future development and application of ZY-3this study provided theoretical and technical basis through comparing and analyzing the same area data from ZY-3and SPOT-5. In the study,the main direction is about ZY-3satellite image quality. So the main work focus on evaluation on the image application field and feasibility by proposed comprehensive evaluation model based on Image texture characteristics.
