Tourism becomes the important strength of regional development. Tourism can provide a lot of job opportunities. The phenomenon of Tourist urbanization appeared in late20th century. Tourist urbanization became a model for urban development. This paper is divided into the following sections:The first chapter is the introduction. Comprehensive comparison of domestic and foreign scholars on tourism based on the definition of urbanization, this paper defined the concept of tourist towns and in-depth analysis of its meaning. By carding tourism urbanization theory, this paper described the background and purpose of significance. Simultaneously, this paper summarizes the main research contents and drew the technical line.The second chapter:Tourism development of urbanization and quantitative research. By analyzing the phenomenon of domestic and foreign tourist towns, this paper summarized the characteristics of tourism urbanization from the aspect of resource directivity, urban functions, industrial structure, urban spatial structure and Population Properties. On this basis, this paper studied the relationship between tourism and urbanization by use of different data. This chapter is a core part of this article. This paper proposed domestic and international development model of tourism urbanization.There are several types in each model.They have different development status, development characteristics, formation mechanism, and the development of various types propose appropriate development path. Lastly, establishing index system appraised the development of various types by using the Delphi method.The fourth chapter:the Tourism Urbanization Development Mechanism. Dynamic mechanism includes resources, tourism market supply, regional transportation accessibility, tourism industry correlation effects, the role of growth poles tourist destination.
