Study On Sustainable Development Of The Liquor Industry

Based on a review and summary of relevant literature, the paper integrates usinga variety of theoretical and empirical research methods, and the main research target isto achieve healthy and sustainable development of Chinese white spirits industry. Fulltext mainly tries to answer four questions as follows.(1) Two chapters analyzeChinese white spirits’ status quo respectively from enterprise micro and industrymacro perspective, and find the major institutional factors which are not conducive toenterprise and industry’s sustainable development.(2)Four chapters involverespectively in-depth discussion about national regulation, national unified andspecification of consumption market, technology indicators system and social creditsystem, which are four needed institutional factors improving healthy and sustainabledevelopment of Chinese white spirits industry.(3)Summing up and sorting foreignspirits industrial successful experience maybe enlighten healthy and sustainabledevelopment of Chinese white spirits industry, and (4) this research puts forwardsome appropriate treatment recommendations from different angles and levels on thehealthy sustainable development of Chinese white spirits industry in the future.This thesis firstly pays attention to the microscopic analysis on Chinese whitespirits industry operating mechanism. To three famous enterprises as Maotai, Yangheand Qinchi, for instances, this paper analyses the typical Chinese enterprises’operating mechanism in terms of development process and strategy, business modeland operational mechanism, and summarizes some basic experiences and lessons inChinese enterprises from the above three cases. Then, this paper empirically analysesthe present situation of Chinese white spirits industry focusing from nine aspects suchas taxation, employment, consumption, industry size, exports, costs, industry’s overallprofitability, geographical advantages and large-scale enterprises especially since theThird Plenary Session. Finally, it makes a detailed analysis on the main causes behindthe problems in Chinese white spirits industry.Healthy development of Chinese white spirits industry needs to consummate thenational regulations. Combined with the status quo of China’s white spirits industryregulation, this paper sums up the characteristics, status and role of liquor regulation.From three aspects respectively on the industry entry regulation, strengthen priceregulation and sound investment regulation, this thesis puts forward national regulatoryproposals for a sound healthy and sustainable development of Chinese white spirits industry.The healthy and sustainable development of Chinese white spirits industry needsto establish a unified regulating liquor consumption market. It isnecessary to introduce characteristics and origins of international main spirits species.The paper analyzes the latest trends in the international spirits industry from originalproduction countries, classification, brand development and overall market aspects.The main experience of success and failure may include the development of industrial clusters, strengthening regulatory constraints, health concerns with the initiative topromote responsible drinking, environmental protection and other aspects. Chinesewhite spirits industry can draw on the successful experience in developed countriesfocusing on clusters’ development based on natural endowment resources,strengthening economic and social regulations, reinforcing the process control andglobal technical standards, attaching great importance to the industrial safety.There are several useful countermeasures for healthy development of China’swhite spirits industry as follows. First, on the basis of above mentioned studies, thispaper clearly puts forward the basic objectives of future upgrades for Chinese whitespirits industry, positioning, layout, functions and path.
