There have some corresponding changes in music culture and musiccommunication within media environment and in the lasting process of internetization,or networking. This paper aims to make a preliminary observation and reflection onthis issue in theory. Involving some abstract characteristics of music, Internet andcommunication etc, so the writer explores music and network specifically withrespective chapter at the beginning. Combined with current academic achievementsand social reality, exposition of the initial two chapters is conducive to a furtherresearch on this topic.They made a review and summary of the following issues: thefundamental property which music represents as a special art, the compoundcommunicating phenomenon of the music content and other types of content,significant characteristics of Internet used as a kind of communication tool. Withregard to music, the paper proposed four main viewpoint: auditory, weak-vocabular,emotional nature and co-culture, as well as the concept of musical“codependent-information” and its classifications; it also posed viewpoints on Internetsuch as communication, virtuality and huge volume etc, thus expounding the combatof liberty on Internet. Furthermore, the writer discusses the features of musiccommunication among modern people’s network life and certain qualitative changesupon the past though integrating and summarizing all factors above. This paper takestechnical value and humanistic value of the Internet age as the reference coordinateaxis, then unfold various mix and collisions on this axis, therefore the extraordinaryrole of musical auditory and emotional nature is established in the networkenvironment, and the two most important manifestations are proposed after the ecology of music communication is influenced by the network communicationenvironment. They are:“absent existence” and “simply emotional satisfaction amongmultiple demand”. Then, the writer also analyzes the indispensable role of“codependent-information” in interaction and integration between music and network.From a horizon of information scale, as a vital clue to master the process ofinternetization, we deduce archive of graphics of each stage, and set a logical orderfor the most presentative and controversial questions in network communication ofmusic. Through the seriatim academic explanation combined with the major points inthe first three chapters, we attempt to make a contribution to the construction oftheory system and reality strategy research. Specifically, this paper focuses the causesof on-line music piracy phenomenon, limitations of current related views and heuristicmotivations which will be promoted in the future, solution opportunities andconstruction trends for the imbalanced on-line music resources, successive attack andadjustment on the concept of independent “music works” by internetization, possiblechanges in excellent music achievement production rate in the flow of networkgeneralization etc. Ultimately, by arranging economic background of the issues aboveand the historical context showed in culture implications, the dissertation attempts tospeculate the great significance of process of internetization for the healthydevelopment and sustainable accumulation of human music culture, and points out itis because “ecology of network information” that helps social functions of musical artsystem achieve an upward spiral.
