During the various stages of train operation diagram life cycle, evaluation, audit, inspection and other issuses are involved. Since the huge workload and difficulty, the feasible approach is computer simulation. The simulation research on train operation diagram is a foundamental work for China railway. The research background of this thesis derives from the China Railway Ministry Train Operation Diagram Research Project and the research work of Train Diagram Research and Training Center. The goal is to do research on the key technologies of train operation simulation and its application, and to ensure the universality of the reseach resultsOn the basis of referring the previous studing results, combining the features of train operation simulation, the study on the key technologies of train operation simulation and its application has been carried out, mainly focusing on the following five parts:(1) The time parameter has not been introduced to Predicate/Transition-System (Pr/T-S), the relationship between time and the status changes of individuals cannot be described conveniently, so the Pr/T-S has been expanded to Timed Predicate/Transition-System (TPr/T-S) with time parameter introduced. Since TPr/T-S can not only ensure to trace the status changes of individuals, but also to gain the relationship between individual status changes and time in the simulation, it can be used in other environments with similar needs except for train simulation research.(2) In order to guarantee the independence between the model of passenger-dedicated line station and its structure or scale, the model has been defined as a set of whole routes and tracks of station, which simplifis the description of the station yard and the complexity of the simulation system, and is of versatility. Based on TPr/T-S, the passenger-dedicated line station TPr/T-S universal model∑1has been built, which is irrelevant with the topology and scale of station, and the passenger-dedicated line station universal simulation system has been designed based on∑1. Adopting the passenger-dedicated line station universal simulation system to simulate Xuzhou East Station on the Beijing-Shanghai passenger dedicated line. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the passenger-dedicated line station universal simulation system and the passenger-dedicated line station TPr/T-S universal model∑1.(3) Each Block section and their related signal are seen as a whole, and four signal system railway section model has been built, which simplifies the description of railway section and complexity of simulation system. Based on TPr/T-S, railway section TPr/T-S universal model∑2has been built. The passenger-dedicated line section universal operation simulation system has been designed. The simulation case proved the effectiveness of four signal system railway section model and railway section TPr/T-S universal model∑2.(4) Achieving station electric map is the prerequisite for building the whole railway simulation map environment. Taking into account that it is a huge workload to draw electric maps for stations in the railway network, it is an important task to design a universal, convenient and feasible station electric mapping platform, the function requirement analysis has been done for station electric mapping platform, and the data flow diagram (DFD) has been achieved. The overall structure, property database and space database have been designed based on DFD; after that, the universal station electric mapping platform has been developed based on GIS software MAPX and VC6.0. The universal station electric mapping platform has become an important part of railway train simulation system.
