Research On The Mobile Grid Based On Overlay-network And Its Key Technology

With the emergence of large number of mobile devices, mobile grid is proposed. The idea of overlay network is applied to mobile grid and some key issues are studied:(1) Overlay network-based mobile grid architecture (MGO) is proposed. The problems of service region division, kernel node election and links selection in kernel network are discussed in detail.(2)Distributed resource management model based on overlay structure is put forward and resource management mechanism is described for resource registration, cancellation, moving, updating, finding and sharing. The mechanism proposed is described and verified using Petri network theory.(3) Routing mechanism in mobile grid is studied, which includes intra-domain routing, inter-domain routing and mobility supporting.(4) Task scheduling in complex resource environment is studied. Considering resource dynamic behavior such as joining, leaving, moving and fault, different scheduling strategy and algorithms are put forward for divisible task, independent task and dependent tasks.
