The team of China’s women water polo has attained glorious achievements since their participation in the international water polo competition in October,2004. They have certain competitiveness but confront with the challenge of competitiveness enhancement.The study has been making a discussion of competitiveness of China’s women water polo with profundity in theory through innovatively introducing competitiveness theory of enterprise. It has dealt with theory analysis model, key success factors, formative mechanism, controllable factors and competitive strategies choice of competitiveness enhancement according to the connotation of competitiveness notion.The competitiveness of China’s women water polo team has the ability of competitive advantage in the inner sports team, supporting the team in competitive environment of international women water polo and fostering sports talents of China with a long time of gradual formation. The study has put forward the competitive power is composed of competitiveness of sports performance, subjective, leading, basic and guarantee competitiveness from the factors of structure and function of China’s women water polo team. The study aims to construct theory analysis model of structure factors of competitiveness with the method of layer analysis and on the basis of this to distinguish and analyze key success factors of competitiveness formation in the present China’s women water polo team.The results show that China’s strategy of Olympic Games and the competition of international women water polo are the main boosters. The policy has also played an important role in the initiative of China’s women water polo team. The all sided support of managerial system of co-building is the basic dynamic of competitiveness formation. The main part with quality enhancement and connotation forming through fostering the abilities of learning, innovation, culture and management are fundamental approaches as effective responses to the challenge, powerful self blood making and competitiveness enhancement.
