The main purpose of this paper are:1)To clarify the research achievements about Chinese Buddhist-Christian dialogue on the period of the Republic of China;2)Put the Buddhist-Christian dialogue of Buddhism and Christian into one text other than put them into different texts.3)To interpreted the influences of modernity to Chinese Buddhist-Christian dialogue.4)To use the examples of the period of the Republic of China to discovered the straits and possibilities of Chinese Buddhist-Christian dialogue, especially in the background of modernity.5)To establish cross-religious religion-dialogue model. The main research methods are documents analyses, historical analyses and comparative analyses.The chapter 2 began from Christianity, to analyze the Chinese Christianity in the background of modernity. The main arguments are Chinese Christianity’s debates with scientism. Then through some representatives to analyze the three dialogue models in Christianity. Eventually ends of Chinese Christianity use reference of Buddhism. The chapter 3 I talked about Buddhism and the structure are similar to Chapter 2.Oneness-model was the main model of Buddhist-Christianity dialogue by Chinese Buddhism on the period of the Republic of China. Moreover, because west culture took modernity idea and Buddhism learn in many ways from Christianity as one of the representatives of west culture. The chapter 4 based on the messages of historical analysis, to clarify the differences and identical of Chinese Buddhist-Christianity. Especially establish a platform from latter conclusion. The chapter 5 analyze weather the contemporary interreligious dialogue model can summarized the model of Chinese Buddhist-Christianity in the period of Republic of China. And try to co-relate the results to the dialogue model that I established.Thus Chinese Buddhism has not similar dialogue model to Chinese Christianity in the period of the Republic of China. As Chinese Buddhists must deal with the problem of modernity more urgency than Chinese Christian at same time, and Christianity that from modern west into pluralism more easily than Buddhism.
