In this text, based on the analysis and arrangement for the phonetic characters, verses and the interchangeable materials in the unearthed Chu text materials, inwhich we find there are many different rhyme words can be connected with the stateof harmony, and in addition, it is similar for the different parts of pronunciation, weconsider this phenomenon as phonetic transformation, and we will sort out thephenomenon and put an analysis and research carefully. The phonetic transformation has been in the old literal books for centuries-oldyears, so we sort out the phenomenon in the Chu text materials, and also cite theverse in " Shi Jing (诗经)"," Chu Ci (楚辞)" and the phonetic characters, theinterchangeable materials in the pre-Qin ancient books, in order to describe thehistory of the phonetic transformation. On the phonetic transformation, which the Chinese scholars have focused, butonly they interpret differently. Example for the rhyme transformation, someoneconsider it as dialect, and someone think that there isn’t one vowel. For the initialconsonant, most of whom find that they may have been a common origin. In view ofthe phonetic transformation in the Chu text materials, the rhyme dialect, multiplevowels and consonant homologous statement may not be reliable, because thephonology is changing constantly, and its interior elements also interact, so whichresult in this phenomenon. The phonetic transformation appeared commonly in the unearthed literaturematerials, and it is beyond of doubt for the same or similar pronunciation, but thosedifferent sound which can transform isn’t be identified, so it will hinder thedevelopment of the unearthed literature materials. And so far, no one sort out thephenomenon, based on which we give an attempt to sort out and hope to helpsomeone to arrange unearthed materials and to research primitive phonology. This text is divided into three parts, the first chapter is the preface, mainly introduces the background, purpose and significance as well as research materialsand methods; the second chapter is the rhyme transformation, because it containsmore contents, so it is divided into three parts to introduce rhyme specifictransformation phenomenon, and then to discuss the reason of rhyme transformationgenerated; the third chapter is the initial transformation, mainly to introduce the factof the different harmonic phase transformation, and then to discuss the root reason. Finally the appendix, AppendixⅠ, appendix Ⅱ is classified to the interchangeablecharacters material, we separate the rhyme from the initial in order to checkconveniently. AppendixⅢ is the verse of the Chu text materials, in order to checkeasily, appendix Ⅳ is a comparative table about the ancient and its mid-ancientphonology, which describe an division status of the ancient rhyme clearly.
