Display System Research Of Chinese Cultural Heritage

Cultural heritage presentation is an important part of cultural heritage conservation and management, which is closely related to preservation and inheritance of cultural heritage, playing a huge role and having immeasurable important value in the development of cultural heritage life. Therefore, the research about cultural heritage presentation has great significance.The International cultural heritage fields have been focusing on presentation of cultural heritage and have formed a mature and improved theory and method system of cultural heritage presentation. The presentation of cultural heritage in China has been following the relevant international principle, but because of the cultural differences between the east and the west, the international theory and method of cultural heritage presentation producing, developing and being mature in the western world cannot correspond with Chinese culture heritage and presents many problems in some cases. The undertaking of Chinese culture heritage started late with the lower development level, which is currently still in the primary stage of learning and exploring. A complete, systemic Chinese cultural heritage preservation and management system have not been formed, especially the attention and the research of cultural heritage presentation system has not been intensive and comprehensive. Many technologic and social problems exist in the practice of interpretation and presentation of cultural heritage. In the past cultural heritage work, China focused more on exploration and protection and ignored presentation and use, which makes the value and the function of culture heritage presentation in cultural heritage preservation and inheritance has not been understood and realized adequately in present China. During the nearly three decades after joining the international cultural heritage fields, the Chinese culture heritage career has got great improvements. A big important decision of more consciously and more actively promoting the prosperity and development of Chinese culture has been made in the sixth plenary session of the17th session of the China Central Committee, which not only created a good opportunity for the development of Chinese cultural heritage, but also gave enormous support and strong power for the further examination and research-of the idea and method of Chinese cultural heritage preservation and inheritance. Under the background of such international and domestic cultural development, comprehensive and systemic research about Chinese cultural heritage presentation will help to set up the presentation system of Chinese culture heritage and then provide a guidance for the management of Chinese culture heritage.This article, based on the methods of document research, investigation and interview, demonstration and comparison research, comprehension and induction and linking theory with practice, deeply analyzed and studied the idea and method of the interpretation and presentation of Chinese and foreign cultural heritage, the present situation and problems of Chinese cultural heritage presentation and the root causes and solutions of the problems. On this basis, the exploration of constructing the system of Chinese cultural heritage presentation has been made.The conclusion and results of the paper as follows:Ⅰ. Focusing on the concept and principle, values and functions, ideas and methods of cultural heritage presentation, the related international and domestic standard literatures including the laws, regulations, bills, charters, conventions, criterions, principles, guides, documents, declaration, major conferences resolutions and suggestions and memos as well as constitutions has been comprehensively reorganized, classified and comprehensive studied.Ⅱ. According to the differences of cultural and architectural tradition between the east and the west, the differences of the ideas and methods of cultural heritage presentation between the east and the west has been studied. The conclusion has been made that the cultural heritage presentation in China should present the tangible materials, surrounding environments and intangible cultural factors of cultural heritage according to the characteristics and present situations of different categories of heritages, using the ideas and methods different from the western cultural heritage presentation, dialectically following-"Don not change the original state"-the international principles, adopting the minimum intervention means and choosing the various accessible physics and public participation ways.Ⅲ. Current situation and problems of Chinese Cultural Heritage interpretation system were analyzed, lacking of service awareness from the position of the public and their requirements was the central issue.IV. Accoding to the phenomena of Chinese culture heritage presentation work, the deeply social problems were analyzed, the essential reasons of values and system problems which leads to one-sided pursuing the direct economic benefits of cultural heritage and ignoring its social benefits and the basic solution ways of establishing and following the correct heritage values with the safeguard of healthy system were put forward.V. From the view of cultural heritage presenting work, the compositions and characteristics of various stakeholders in cultural heritage site, their status and functions, obligations and responsibilities undertaking in presenting work were analyzed. The conclusion that cultural heritage presentation and interpretation should earn the participations of all stakeholders, stimulate and enhance the public awareness and the sense of responsibility of heritage preservation and further make the public throw themselves into the preservation and inheritance of cultural heritage spontaneously and consciously has been made.Ⅵ. With integrating and refining the researches above, the Chinese cultural heritage presentation system was constructed:ⅰ) The concepts of cultural heritage presentation is ensuring the safety of cultural heritage, having authenticity, integrity, accessibility, concordance, sustainability and reversibility and making the social and economic benefits develop coordinately. ⅱ) The methods of cultural heritage presentation contain heritage presentation, heritage interpretation and public participation.
