It is a blend of "poem and thinking" with deep traditional culture and western theory background. Meanwhile it presents examining and exploring to the person’s destiny、existence and meanings. The first chapter pays attention to Xuxu’s cultural foundation to form poetic character. The influence of traditional culture, the invasion of western life philosophy and existentialism, the war environment in40’s and Hong Kong’s business culture environment in50’s make Xuxu to particularly pay attention to the meaning of life and existence, which promotes the form of his novel’s poetic character. The Chapter2emphasizes to pay attention to the topic content of Xuxu’s novels from the angle of "poetic". In the thinking of destiny, Xuxu’s novels display the mysterious and invalid resistance to destiny. It embodys perplexityly his confusion and vacant when he payed attention to person’s existing predicament. Meanwhile,he uses large amounts of images and a kind of sentimental,alluded and philosophical language to display his existence experience. It makes his novels presenting poetic character.The four chapter analyses emphatically the making reasons to the romantism character of Xuxu’s novels and meanings.The consider in his novels to the person’s destiny、existence and meanings is the personal words at the edge of society and the symbolical poems of Xuxu’s soul. By it, he looks for a salvations to his soul. It embodys to pursue and strengthen modern poetic spirit.
