The study of I-Ching has been developed unprecedentedly in Tang Dynasty. As far as the study of I-Ching concerned, there are two famous works which have significant influence in the later generations:one is Zhou Yi Zheng Yi by Kong Yingda and the other is Zhou Yi Ji Jie by Li Dingzuo. Most of the writings on I-Ching have been lost or destroyed through the time passing. This makes it difficult to the scholars to outline the development of I-Ching study in Tang Dynasty.This essay aims to research the I-Ching study in Tang Dynasty, based on the existing historical data, over50books of research on I-Ching by over40I-Ching researchers in Tang Dynasty and do the textual research. Emphasizing on the research of KongYingda’s ZhouYiZhengyi、XingShu’s ZhouYiLueLiZhu、CuiJing’s ZhouYiTanXuan、HouGuo’sYiZhu、 LiDingZuo’s ZhouYiJiJie、GuoJing’s ZhouYiJuZheng、ShiZheng’s ZhouYiKouJueYi、 LuXisheng’s YiZhuan, there will be an analysis and demonstration of the works through the study of the lives of the authors, contents, characteristics and the influences of the works. In the meantime, this essay focus on the process and the law of the development of the study of I-Ching in Tang Dynasty, combined with the historical background. Through a general grasp of the works of I-Ching of Tang Dynasty and a comprehensive study on them, this essay will represent the development of I-Ching study in Tang Dynasty.
