The Study Of The World Class Life Science Institutes’ Growth Way

The 21 st century is believed to be the century of life science. Now lots of countries, especially the developed countries, are keen on life science research to seize the commanding heights of the next round of scientific revolution.Compared with other research fields, the gap between China and developed countries is relatively small in life science. In recent years, China’s life science research institutions has made a number of world-class research achievements. However, compared to most developed countries, China’s life science research insititutions started relatively late, with small quantity, low quality, and little popularity. For this, the logical starting point of this research lies in the case studies specific to the construction and development of world-class research in the life sciences organizations, discussing the pattern and the law of innovation from the perspective of dynamic development, so as to build up the model of the life science research institute of our country, and to draw lessons from successful experience.Based on the definition of relevant concepts, the evaluation theory of this paper absorbs the essence of the evaluation theory, constitution theory and the formation theory. This paper also applies the methodology of critical methodology, methodology of speculation, and methodology of positivism, comprehensively using the literature research method, statistical analysis method, comparative research method and case study method to discuss the evaluation index system, composition of the innovative elements, generation of the power source, fractal of the generation model and other problems of the world’s leading life science research institutions. At last, based on the comparative analysis of the internal conditions and external environment of the life science research organization in China, it discusses the path selection and optimization strategy to accelerate China’s life sciences research organization construction, completing the research program from the discovery, to the analysis and research and then to the solution and reflection of question.This paper mainly obtains the following three aspects of the results and conclusions: first, based on systematical settlement of comprehensive evaluation and professional ranking of research institutions and universities, this paper uses citation analysis method, questionnaire survey method and principal component analysis method to select 20 world-top life science research organizations, and designs a set of relatively complete selection and verification methods, which is the first time in the field of life science. Second, it breaks through the philosophical perspective of the classical apparent structure theory for the study of organizational growth, re-examining the composing elements, interaction relationship and displaying efficiency and other problem of the world-class life science research organization, by means of the philosophical weapon of system theory and generative theory. Based on the full consideration on the historical background of the formation, this paper uses the clustering theory of rough sets and mathematical method to deduce 6 generation modes for world-class life science research organization, that is, genotype, environment type, mutation type, genotype + mutation type, genotype + environment type, environment type+ mutation type. On the basis of pattern classification, we select two to three most representative organizations for each generation mode, analyzing the typical characteristics, difference and imitation of these representative organizations with the combination with the dynamic generative theory put forward by this paper. The presentation, classification and assignment of these patterns are the innovations of this paper, and the difficulty of this paper is the multiple case analyses of different types. Third, the quantity, quality and potential of the life science research organization in China get comprehensively analyzed for the first time; this paper selects and discusses the history origin and the experience and lessons of the development of the advanced organizations; it also puts forward construction optimization strategies in three aspects of strengthening gene, optimizing the environment and complying with mutation after the analogy and correspondence of the generating mode put forward by this paper.
