The Research On Doctors’ Occupational Spirit

Doctor is the patron saint of life, is the messenger to safeguard the health. Doctor’s behavior not only has relationship to life and death, but also embodies the social moral basis, which has a direct impact on the quality of the doctor-patient relationship. Doctors and patients have a close relationship with each other. Doctor’s behavior plays a vital role in building good atmosphere of doctor-patient relationship,and maintaining harmonious medical environment. At the same time, doctor is also a clinical worker, whom directly involved in health care reform. In addition with the changes of medical health and service providing system changes, and the introduction of market mechanism, errors in health system reform has become a huge challenge to traditional occupational spirit, which leads to lack of medical trust, and tension between doctors and patients, so study doctors’ occupational spirit is of great necessity for both doctors and medicine development of China.Doctors’ occupational spirit can stimulate the internal power, shape the value concept, improve the spiritual quality of doctors. However doctors’ occupational spirit is different between Eastern and Western cultures. In China, the occupational spirit of doctors is an independent concept among Chinese scholars and the public. However, the research on the occupational spirit is based on the understanding of the new moon, which is divided into two forces. One is based on the concept of occupational spirit of doctors. However these two understandings are different and sometimes being mixed. In 2012, health ministry organization experts and scholars had a big discussion about these concepts,the use of the concept "medical professionalism" and its meaning is quite similar to our research. But after several discussions, this activity stopped for political reasons.In April 2012, the Ministry of Health held an occupational spirit forum in medicine. It was necessary to cultivate and develop the occupational spirit in medicine. However, the research on the occupational spirit of doctors in China is still very limited. So far, there is no independent research system, which leads to the limitation of this research. It is essential to construct a perfect medical occupational spirit and professional organization system. This paper analyzes and discusses the connotation, structure and value of medical professionalism, analyzes its challenges, the deep reasons, and the medical health reform in our country. Therefore, it is essential to construct a complete medical occupational spirit and professional organization system. To construct occupational spirit of Chinese doctors, so as to enrich and improve occupational spirit system, to provide guidance for doctors’ professional spirit and, reference for both doctor-patient trust and medical reform are of great importance.This paper is composed of five chapters. The first chapter introduces the research background, theoretical value, practical significance of doctors’ occupational spirit, and the research methods. There are three reasons for us to focus on this topic. The first is the need of health policy. The second is the lack of medical practice. And the third is the limit of theoretical research. The current research mainly focuses on western countries. Western medical professionalism research is rooted in the mercantilist, our attention to the doctor occupational spirit mainly focuses on the conflicts between doctors and patients. Therefore, grafting the western studies to Chinese social culture is not suitable, we need to clarify whether the content is suitable for Chinese contemporary doctor occupation spirit, or not. The doctors occupational spirit research, from the perspective of its concept, Chinese and Western academic research are mainly based on medical professionalism, they use the same nouns in English. It is worth noticed that in China, there is no relative term. For Professionalism, there are many differences in its understanding and use. It is not clear that there is still an accurate and universally accepted definition. The western scholars tend to use different elements to describe the professionalism, and to make a relatively complete definition. Domestic scholars have tried to make a relatively complete definition of it; they often use a more accurate sentence to explain the definition, which is more general.From the assessment of occupational spirit, there are some differences in the connotation of medical professionalism, the problem of measurement and assessment of occupational spirit is quite difficult to measure and evaluate. The results show that there is no comparability and only for their own references. At present, there are some problems in the research of medical ethics. The conflict of interests in our country in the field of medicine has complex background factors, such as medical and health system, hospital management system, which mainly refers to the conflicts between doctors and patients. Conflicts of interests of western countries mainly involve hospital, the interest relationship between medical practitioners and medical industry. Finally, for medical industry and staff, profession autonomy as an occupational spirit of the basic content, and in our country, real medical profession autonomy system has not been established, the relevant industry standards and industry standard formulation is not perfect regulated. Physician management is still under government administration, industry standards or its formulation is obviously lagging behind. Last, from the perspective of the construction of doctors’occupational spirit education, the cultivation of professionalism medical in the western countries has entered the practical level, which has been reflected in the curriculum of medical students, and the construction of professional spirit of our country is still on the stage of theory.In the second chapter, we analyze the reasons of occupational spirit and professional ethics; analyze the connotation of occupational spirit, which is based on the medical practice. Doctors should learn the spirit of occupation, which is based on the medical practice. It is the embodiment of personal spirit, social spirit in the field of medical professionalism, which includes professional knowledge, professional emotion and will.In order to make a more clear understanding of the occupational spirit of doctors, we analyze the confusion concepts related to the occupational spirit and the similar medical professionalism. Scholars believe that "medical science is a profession, not just an occupation", it is not suitable to use occupational spirit instead of professionalism. The definition of medical professionalism and the comparative analysis between them can help us gain a better understanding of the occupational spirit of medical professionals. The medical profession, which is based on medical professionalism and occupational spirit, is a professional spirit, which is based on the medical professionalism and professional spirit, which is based on the medical professionalism and professional spirit. The medical profession is not based on medical professionalism, but the medical profession and the professional spirit. But from this point of view, the emphasis of medical professionalism is the industry right, and the industry interests, the right, the responsibility, the duty, the duty of doctors, and the spirit of medical professionalism have more benefits than disadvantages. From the content, like the three principles and ten elements from the doctor’s declaration are abstract and general. From the perspective of positive effect of organization and the research field, the main body, object and motivation, this study analyze the differences between doctors’ professional spirit and organizational citizenship behavior, and the structure and contents of the doctors’ professional spirit, finally summarize the performance and reasons of doctors’ professional spirit, and puts forward constructive suggestions.
