| ObjectiveIn order to provide more evidence sources to the standard treatment for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, the writer analyze patients’overall survival (OS) after patients receiving sorafenib combined with Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization (TACE) or liver resection as a treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC); observe the healing effect of Sorafenib, that is anti-angiogenic treatment for HCC; and also analyze the factors that may affect the prognosis and treatment of security.Materials and MethodsFrom September2012to March2014, in The Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, there are6patients,5male and1female had been Pathologically or clinical diagnosis. After receiving sorafenib (brand name:Nexavar)(per tablet200mg),2tablets each time,2times a day. Every4to8weeks is called as one period of treatment. Referring to RECIST Evaluation, the writers mainly observe patients’ overall survival (OS), record adverse events.In this period, patients return hospital to do treatment evaluation and the writer call patients to follow up treatment. Then the writer establishes data base and analysis data by SPSS16.0.ResultsTill March,2014,1patient loss contact,1evaluable patients died and4survive, The overall survival rate to observation period is83.3%; there is no CR cases,4patients SD and1patient PD. The The side effects of taking Sorafenib mainly are hand-foot skin reaction, fatigue, loss of appetite and diarrhea. These side effects can be markedly eased after symptomatic treatment.Conclusion1Combined with sorafenib treatment may give patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma a longer longevity and keep the disease in a steady state. This therapy can be added into the treatments to patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.2The side effects of taking Sorafenib (Nexavar) could be stand. |
