Study On The Shamanism Northern Minorities In Our Country In The Aspects Of Medicine And Culture

Shamanism is a worldwide form of primitive religion. As a kind of spiritual dependence, shamanistic beliefs think, that Shaman can really communicating with god, and in the Shaman’s idea and behavior, this supernatural power can associate with the supernatural world. Shaman treatment also is not a simple trick, but has the cultural connotation of the medicine. This integrated complex in the heart treatment contains a lot of cultural forms, therefore, the relationship between medicine and traditional culture of the shaman has aroused widespread interest among cultural psychiatry, anthropology and medical anthropology of art and other humanities disciplines. Especially after World War Ⅱ, from the combination of medicine and anthropology, medical anthropology arose. In which human medical model has been seen as an important sub-cultural system belongs to the whole human cultural system, and to explore the medical model and social research methods with particular relations culture types.The close relationship between the medical,’witch’craft and religion can be look as the characteristics of ancient medicine, which has existed in almost all cultures, with spontaneous and mandatory. These, on one hand, have already changed into human nature from generation to generation in customs, in education and in people’s daily life; on the other hand, it also can be looked as a source of a stable mandatory. As a kind of cultural relics, Shaman’s potential value of a spiritual is being concerned by scholars of all over the world. As is well-known, the purpose of the study of human behavior is to improve the health of health care, and most of the minorities in our country, who believe the Shaman, consider that the treatment is one of the important functions of Shamanism. The study on the treatment of Shaman can be take from psychiatry and medical anthropology. The main approach Shaman treatment process now seems a bit absurd, but in the real life, in some less developed regions, where is short of science, technology and medicine, the Shaman treatment will be internalized into a folk form of treatment and is still used. Now days, Shaman treatment can be summed up as a form spiritually mitigation and can adjust the patient’s illness and nervous tension.The thesis first reviews the Shaman’s history, in which it analyzes the cultural characteristics of Shaman, the Shamanistic religious concepts, and discuss the function and the role of Shamanism. Secondly, takes some minority of our country, such as Daur, Uyghur and Sibo, as the example, analyzes the types of medical treatment, methods and mechanisms of Shamanism. Thirdly, analyzes the medical and therapeutic mechanism of Shamanism basing on the modern theories of medical science, which clarify the psychological turning point and the cultural and religious basis of Shaman treatment. Finally, by describing common contact between the Shaman and ’witch’ culture, medical science, especially in the field of psychiatry, in spite of the Shaman treatment for disease showing many different interpretation of barbaric components of modern medical experience, but the Shamans indeed and by the combination of ’witch’ culture and medical efficacy realization of the control function of the the human body, which make us further explore the transformation form of related foreign medical theory into the domestic, and also going further to present the important theoretical and practical significance to achieve the local fusion with the different cultural backgrounds.
