| Part â… Optical Coherence Tomography-Angiography in polypoidal choroidal vasculopathyPurpose:To study and summarize the characteristics and regularity of polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy in angio-OCTMethods:For this cross-sectional study, data from 17 patients (17 eyes) diagnosised PCV from Nov.2014 to Feb.2015.9 male,8 female. Compare angio-OCT with FFA and ICG.Results:5 eyes had the smilar BVN as it showed in ICG.7 eyes were found polyps in ICG, while in angio-OCT were only found highlight spot,2 of them were found highlight spot under PED.Conclusions:Angio-OCT is a noninvasive technique. It can visualize BNV and polyps of choroid. It will play a key role in PCV patients, and can partly instead of ICG.Part â…¡ Retinal pigment epithelial tear associated with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathyObjective:To evaluate the characteristic of RPE tear associated with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy(PCV).Methods:Collected 7 cases (3 males and 4 females) which were diagnosised PCV between Dec.2012 and Oct.2014. The age was ranged from 50 to 70 years old, with a mean of 62±5.4 years old. The follow-up was ranged from 10 to 24 months, with the average of 17.3±5.4 months. Results:During the follow-up,6 cases had RPE tear on the edge of PED and 1 case had RPE tear on the top of PED.4 of them happened spontaneously,2 were after ranibizumab injection, and 1 were after PDT. The PED tear patients had large PED. The height was ranged from 277μm to 937μm, with a mean of 579.6±215.8μm. The maximum diameter was ranged from 1843μm to 8812μm,with a mean of 4865.1μm±2899.2μm. The BCVA improved in 5 eyes(,stable in 1 eyes and decreased in 1 eye). Conclusions:PED tear can either happens on the edge of PED or on the top of PED. It can happen spontaneously or assioated with PDT or anti-VEGF. Large PED may be a risk factor.Part â…¢ A preliminary study on single nucleotide polymorphisms of polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy patientsPurpose:To investigate whether polymorphisms in the LOC387715/HTRA1,CFH,C2, CFB,LPL,CETPgenes are associated with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy(PCV)in a Chinese population. Methods:A case-control association study of 319 unrelated Chinese patients with PCV,347 control subjects and 69 AMD patients matched in ethnicity and gender was undertaken. Genomic DNA was prepared from peripheral blood. All SNPs were genotyped using the MassArray platform and MALDI-TOF analysis. Genotyp ic distribution was tested for Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. Statistical analyses were performed on computer using the SPSS (version 170:SPSS Science, Chicago, I L) software. The genotype and allele frequencies were evaluated using the χ2 test s. Bonferroni corrections for multiple comparisons were performed. The significan ce of the differences in the estimated haplotype frequencies between case and con trol groups were examined on Haploview 4.2 using the x2 tests. Results:Three SNPs for CFH, rs505102,rs800292 and rs742855showed significant differences in allele frequencies between PCV and control groups (P=1.49×10-6,1. 62×10-6,0.000152,respectively).Seven SNPs for LOC387715/HTRA1, rs10490924,rs3 793917,rs2672598,rs2672587,rs3750847,rs61871746 and rs2014307,showed significan t differences in allele frequencies between PCV and control groups (P=1.83×10-12, 1.21×10-12,0.004229,5.05×10-9,1.33×10-12,4.78×10-12,0.04836,respectively). The ha plotypes CG and CTof rs2736912 and rs2014307 were associated with PCV (P=3. 13×10-5,9.73×10-6 respectively). The haplotypes TGGCTC,TAGCTT,TGAACT and CAGCTT of CFH were associated with PCV (P=5.11×10-7,2.78×10-6,0.001,4×10-4,re spectively). The haplotypes CTA of CETP were associated with PCV (P=0.0237,r espectively). No significant association was noted with C2ã€CFBã€LPLamong the PCV cases(P>0.05). Evaluation of common haplotypes across LPL did not reveal any association with PCV(P>0.05). No significant differences in allele frequencies between PCV and AMD groups. Conclusions:We found no evidence to support the polymorphisms of C2,CFB,LP L in the susceptibility to PCV in a Chinese population. The CFH ,CETP and LOC387715/HTRA1 are significantly associated with the risk of PCV. |
