Cultivating anti-herbicide and drought resistant rice is important to direct seeding rice, weed controlling and water saving.We performed continuous identification and selection for three to four years to HD297, HD502, etc. with bar gene on Basta resistance, drought resistance and other agronomic traits. We carried out molecular tests to elite transgenic lines. Meanwhile, we performed drought resistance trials and selection tag resistance experiments to transgenic lines with proline and fucose synthesis related genes and other genes related to drought resistance. Some results are obtained as follows.1. Basta resistance identification and selection were done to451lines of T4~T6generation during vegetative growth phase. The result showed that it was effective to do continuous identification and selection on Basta resistance, which could enhance the Basta resistance of late generation compared with early generation. The proportation of high resistance plants increased obviously. For example, the grade one lines of243population of T4~T6generation increased from0.32%of T4generation to18.89%of T6generation. PPT high concentration of0.5%could decrease the resistance of most lines compared with0.05%concentration, and increased the separation of resistance and sensitive. It was very obvious in high generation. So we should increase the PPT concentration with the increasing of generation. Some elite lines with good agronomic traits and stable inheritance were obtained from T7-T9generation. These lines can be developed to new anti-herbicide lines in the future.2. After four years’ field line comparison trials and two years’ production demonstration trials, by examining seed yield, related agronomic traits, and Basta resistance, some lines similar to HD297on drought resistance and comprehensive agronomic traits were obtained. Among them,297T-31was highly resistant to Basta in seedling stage and inherits stably.297T-523performed well on Basta resistance during growth period. These lines can be cultivated to be new varieties which are needed badly in China and meet the needs of production area.3. Continued identification to about150transgenic lines (amplified to about800lines later) with drought resistance genes were done. EM39-3and AVP1-10-5-3which performed well on drought resistance were obtained. Their leaf anti-senescence degree increased one to two grades compared with parents. They enrich our rice anti-drought germplasm resources.
