The traditional method of pavement maintenance has long repair times, high cost, seriously affecting road traffic, increasing road blockage extent, affect people’s travel and security. In order to avoid the adverse effects of traffic, urban road construction generally carried out at night. Although it can ease the pressure on the traffic generated by road maintenance, it still has some adverse effects to construction workers and surrounding residents, and it will be greater variability in the quality of construction. Domestic and foreign scholars have long been committed to research on fast repair technology in the road, especially in urban road. The product and technology of Rollpave is developed firstly by Dura Vermeer-Intron company and Delft University in Dutch. Due to the use of polyurethane resin material as the binder, the mechanical properties of the product is poor, very easy to damage. Such related products and technology are rarely researched and developed in other countries and regions. To achieve rollable prefabricated asphalt pavement, its material properties and construction techniques need to be related research. It is outlined as follows:(1) Determine bending performance of prefabricated asphalt pavementThe flexural-tensile strain of prefabricated asphalt curling is estimated base on the elasticity theory, it is to establish contact with the center point deflection of asphalt beam bending tests. The bending performance of prefabricated asphalt pavement is ultimately determined by the different pavement thickness and roller diameters, after considering the material and construction variability. The test methods to evaluate the bending performance of asphalt mixture is developed, then the bending properties of different asphalt mixtures are evaluated. The contribution of the various components to asphalt mixture bending properties is analyzed, then determine the material components of rollable asphalt mixture.(2) Develop and properties research of dedicated modified asphaltAnalyze the impact of different factors on dedicated modified asphalt, such as types and chemical composition of base asphalt, doses and ratios of composite modifier, types and doses of compatibility and stabilizing agents, modification process etc. The modification program and processing of dedicated modified asphalt are proposed, and the RMA modified asphalt that meet rollable prefabricated asphalt pavement is developed. Analyzed the modification mechanism of modified asphalt and evaluate its road performance and rheological properties by observing the microstructure and macroscopic properties test. The dedicated modified asphalt technical indicators are proposed based on gray correlation analysis.(3) Rollable asphalt mixture design and its performance evaluationStudying the relationship between aggregate key sieve through rate and asphalt mixture bending performance by uniform test, and the recommended graded ranges of rollable asphalt mixture are determined. The rollable asphalt mixture design method of high temperature performance and deformation adaptability balanced is established. The road performance and rheological property of RMA modified asphalt mixtures with different oil-stone ratios within the recommended oil-stone ratio are investigated. Then technical standards of rollable asphalt mixture are determined finally(4) Key construction technologyThe three-dimensional model of prefabricated asphalt pavement curling process is simulated by ABAQUS finite element software, and the different factors influence on the mechanical response of asphalt pavement curling respectively, such as pavement thickness, reel revolving speed, the friction coefficient between prefabricated asphalt pavement lower surface and baseplate, different anchor modes of prefabricated asphalt pavement ends. The curling test equipment on rollable prefabricated asphalt pavement is Developed, and the curling and placing process of prefabricated asphalt pavement are determined. The dry mix particles GTA of dedicated modified asphalt is developed, and compared with RMA modified asphalt. The mixing, paving, compaction process of RMA modified asphalt mixture are determined, and the sticky layer materials are selected.(5) Entity engineering verificationPaving entity engineering test section, the feasibility of rollable prefabricated asphalt pavement construction process and the durability of materials and structures are verified.
