The amount of automobile in China is largest in the word, and the total energy consumption and auto-emissions is remarkable. Therefore, the study on energy characteristics and energy saving technology and energy efficiency evaluation in the running processes of heavy truck is very important.Aiming at the shortage of existing system studies on energy loss characteristics about transmission system of heavy truck at home and abroad, this paper focuses on the studies on the energy flow and energy loss characteristics and energy factors extraction and energy efficiency evaluation about transmission system of high energy consumption with the supporting of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Education Department Science Foundation of Anhui Province. The details are as follows.According to the characteristics of energy transmission in the running processes of transmission system of heavy truck, the energy flow of driving system is established. The power transmission characteristics, sections and features of energy loss are analyzed in the transmission system. On the basis of the above research, the energy transmission mathematical model of the transmission system is put forward from the perspective of system. Then it is simulated by the mathematical model on the heavy truck driving’s four conditions in the idle, starting, acceleration of high gear and driving in high speed. Simulation results show that the maximum power loss of the transmission system accounts for engine power output rating of 9.3%,20.7%,7.3% and 1% for the four conditions. The actual results compared with the change laws of the fuel consumption are consistent in the same conditions. Therefore, the model is proved to be effective. On the basis of the model as the basic theory, the energy transfer mathematical models of wet clutch and gearbox transmission are established respectively in this paper. After that, the energy loss characteristics of wet clutch and gearbox transmission are analyzed in the idle, starting and acceleration of shifting process. Finally, the structural parameters and the technological parameters of key components associated with energy consumption are identified.Based on the analysis results of the energy loss characteristics in the running processes of key components of transmission system, energy parameters are controllably analyzed and processed by using the fuzzy mathematics theory and method. Strong controllable energy parameter set is obtained consequently, which are subsequently analyzed by using the mechanical principle, physics, control and other disciplines knowledge. Then the energy factor set of key components of transmission system is extracted. Finally, energy factors are processed by decoupling and clustering analysis method, and the energy design parameters set which can be directly used for design stage is obtained.The analysis method of energy-saving operation evaluation based on energy factors is explored in the running processes of key components of transmission system. Based on energy factors of wet clutch and gearbox transmission of heavy truck, the assessment index system for energy-saving operation assessment of transmission system is established. Then the influence degree that evaluation factors influence evaluation index is quantified by using the method of model simulation and sensitivity analysis. Finally, wet clutch drag loss and transmission load loss are served as analysis examples to validate the effectiveness of the energy-saving operation evaluation analysis method.
