With the deterioration of the atmospheric environment, the time that people stay indoors is getting longer and longer, and attention is takenmore andmore to indoor air quality; As themainmethod of removing indoor pollutants, the use of activated carbon is also growing. With the wide application of activated carbon in the industrial and commercial, activated carbon price increased dramatically. O xytetracycline fermentation produce a large number of hazardous SO lid waste, bacterial residue, relevant enterprises are actively explore its low-cost treatment technology. This paper intends to develop Terramycin bacterial residue as rawmaterial, adopting chemical activationmethod to prepare Terramycin bacterial residue activated carbon, and discusses the process of the indoor pollution gas adsorption, study the feasibility of it as a catalyst carrier. This technique canSO lves the problem bacterial residue, meantime,low-cost activated carbon can be used in indoor pollutants removal, also can be used as an efficient catalyst carriers, realized the "using waste treat waste".Firstly, terramycin bacterial residue from pharmaceutical enterprise is carried on the industrial analysis, element analysis, heavymetals, inorganic elements, the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and calorific value analysis, the physical and chemical characteristics of terramycin bacterial residue are obtained, the results show the preparation of activated carbon with terramycin bacterial residue wa s feasible. Next, using chemical activationmethod, the terramycin bacterial residue activated carbon was prepared, the preparation parameters were optimized by orthogonal test, and through the response surfacemethod the optimum technological parameters were verified. Using sem, BET and Fourier infrared and X-ray powder diffraction preparation of terramycin bacterial residue activated carbon under the best parameters have been characterized, its surfacemorphology, pore structure, microstructure and surface functional groups were got. Then, adsorption performances of the terramycin bacterial residue activated carbon on indoor pollutants formaldehyde and toluene were reseached. Using the terramycin bacterial residue activated carbon as adsorbent, static adsorption amount of formaldehyde and toluene saturated capacity was measured respectively, stripping temperature of formaldehyde under different heating rate was measured with TPD, Stripping activation energy was calculated, and fit with Langmuir equation. The parameters, adsorption temperature, space velocity and gas concentration, of bacterial residue activated carbon adsorption efficiency of formaldehyde and toluene gas were optimized. At last, for further application of bacterial residue activated carbon, using impregnationmethod, modified bacteria residue activated carbon with different kinds of ionic liquids and rare earthmetal was prepared, themechanism of active carbon adsorption catalytic oxidation of SO2 with bacteria residue activated carbon was discussed, characterization of the structure of catalyst were analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction, thermogravimetric(tg) and scanning electronmicroscopy(sem) analysismethod, the change and law of pore structure and surface characteristics before and after modification were analyzed, the performance of different kinds of rare earthmodification activated carbon was obtained, and the process parameters were optimized.
