With the continuous progress of technology, sustained development of economy and the formation of global information networks, the manufacturing enterprises are facing short delivery times, lower costs, high services and high product quality. Therefore, It is being an important topic for the manufacturing enterprises to occupy a favorable position in the global economy, quickly capture market opportunities, enhance their own competitive, and timely meet customer’individual demands. Collaborative manufacturing is put forward using information technology in the distributed manufacturing, which can take full advantage of the production resources and technical resources of alliance manufacturing to achieve product manufacturing process with the fastest speed and reasonable cost, and to achieve the structure adjustment of the traditional manufacturing industry, the reasonable configuration of resources. Currently, collaborative manufacturing is becoming more and more popular for researchers and companies. However, there are many factors of collaborative manufacturing to be considered and not to be ignored simply. At the same time, the new management and operation continue emerging to make the existing research and decision not be applied to the new environment and condition, which leads to the demand about the decision and optimization on the collaborative manufacturing in the distributed manufacturing being urgent increasingly.For this reason, the distributed manufacturing is as the background. Based on analyzing the research status quo of the distributed manufacturing, especially for collaborative manufacturing problem, the task assignment of different structure products in collaborative manufacturing are considered systematically by adopting the theory and method of the optimization. The major research results of this dissertation falls on five aspects as follows.(1) Based on collaborative manufacturing problems in distributed manufacturing enterprise, the summary and the corresponding research are done from the different aspects. The basic concept and characteristic on distributed manufacturing enterprise and collaborative manufacturing are introduced. The information model, optimization model and the solving algorithms of task assignment in collaborative manufacturing are summarized. The above-mentioned work provides a theoretical and methodological support for the research of the key issues.(2) The decisions of production and transportation on collaborative manufacturing for single product with production capacity constraints are studied. The task assignment, the production cycle of product, transportation frequency for single product with multi-plants and multi-retailers from the perspective of the supply chain are considered, and a nonlinear mathematical programming model of this problem is proposed. Based on the characteristics of the model, the objective function is simplified and a heuristic algorithm is designed for solving the task assignment and transportation problem in collaborative manufacturing of single product.(3) The decisions of production and transportation on collaborative manufacturing for multi-products with production capacity constraints are studied. The research object is extended to multi-products based on the research (2).The task assignment, the production cycle of product, transportation frequency for multi-products with multi-plants and multi-retailers are considered, and a nonlinear mathematical programming model of multi-products optimization assignment with capacity constraints is proposed. To solve the model for practical purposes, an allocation heuristic algorithm is designed for the collaborative manufacturing and transportation problems of multi-products.(4) An optimization task assignment for complex product collaborative manufacturing in the distributed manufacturing environment with the due date and capacity constraints is studied. The lean production management flow is proposed according to the production need of complex product. The production capacity of alliance manufacturers and the due date of complex product are considered. The matrix method of a network diagram is adopted to represent the sequence of the key components. To develop optimization allocation of the key components in the alliance manufacturers, a nonlinear mathematical programming model of the problem is proposed with the objective of minimizing the production costs and transportation costs. To solve the model for practical purposes, a discrete particle swarm algorithm for the problem is developed. This particle swarm optimization approach improves discrete particle encodes to represent the "component-manufacturer" relationships, and develops the feasibility of rule-based approach to handle constrained optimization problems which avoids the selection of penalty function. The approach improves the search speed and convergence performance as well. A case study on collaborative manufacturing of heavy-duty gas turbine for the enterprise is investigated to show the process of experiments and the analysis of results.(5) A task assignment for complex product collaborative manufacturing with tolerance allocation is studied. The production capacity of alliance manufacturers, the due date of complex product and the tolerance allocation which can achieve the assembly request are considered. Two mathematical programming models of the problem are proposed respectively with the objective of maximizing the tolerance and minimizing the production costs, transportation costs and quality loss costs. Based on the characteristic of the solutions to the problem, the two stage model is integrated to a whole model. A scatter search approach for the problem is developed, which generates the initial solution by heuristic random methods, and develops the reference set update method, subset generation method, solution combination method and improvement method for the complex product collaborative manufacturing with tolerance constraints by the characteristic of the problem.
