| In view of the present constitutive relation of rock, uniaxial and conventional triaxialcompression tests were carried out using the self-developed experimental system of State KeyLaboratory for Geomechanics and Deep Underground Engineering. Firstly, the deformationmechanical characteristics and mechanism were analyzed in detail. Then under the hypothesis ofrock is composed of micro unit and with the help of nonlinear dynamic system theory, a damagemodel was proposed to describe the damage evolution rule in the whole process of rockdeformation and failure, and the physical meaning of its parameters is clear. And further accordingto the theory of damage mechanics, the constitutive relations under uniaxial compression orconventional triaxial compression were established which can describe strain softening, residualstrength stage, brittleness-ductility transformation and strain hardening deformation behavior. Thevalidity of these models was verified by comparing the test results with the theoretical results. Andwith the help of chaos theory, chaos characteristic in the process of rock deformation and failurehas been studied. |
