The paper divided the famer’s house space into pravite space, public space, wetspace and auxiliary space, and analyzed each characteristic of them. Then, the paperexpounds the design principle which functional space combination should be followed, and points out that the separation of functional space in farmers residence is the key ofimproving farmers’ living conditions. The house type design should reduceinterference between the spaces. The wet space shoud be separated from dry spaceand the pravite space shoud be separated from public space.
